Five Netflix releases to watch out for this week
Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model (Mor Loushy and Daniel Sivan, 2026)
The Netflix lineup this week begins with one of the most sought-after documentaries of the year, Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model. The three-part docu-series, now streaming on Netflix, offers an unprecedented behind-the-scenes POV at the show, providing an insider look into the intricate workings of the hit reality series, hosted by supermodel Tyra Banks.
Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model features fresh interviews with Banks, Ken Mok, ex-judges Jay Manuel, J Alexander, and Niger Barker, as well as former contestants and winners, including Whitney Thompson, Giselle Samson, Shannon Stewart, Shandi Sullivan, Dani Evans, and Keenyah Hill. The documentary also sheds light on the details and specifics surrounding the former judges’ departure from the show, imparting the impending closure.
The Night Agent (Shawn Ryan, 2023-Present)
Every drumroll would fall short for this one, but still, here it goes: the wait is almost over for The Night Agent season three! Landing on Netflix on February 19th, the third season of the smash hit spy series promises to take viewers on an adrenaline-fueled ride across Istanbul, Mexico City, Washington, New York, and the Dominican Republic, as agent Peter Sutherland launches himself into a dangerous new adventure. So, in order to keep up, tighten those seatbelts.
As it turns out, Sutherland has a lot to deal with in The Night Agent’s third season – an evil conspiracy brewing at the centre of the White House, a dead set reporter with a hot tip and a shady past, a murder suspect seeking to absolve himself, an enigmatic pair of father and son seemingly responsible for a trail of bodies in their wake, a joint force of old and new enemies, old friends in danger, and a new partner of whom he doesn’t know what to make of.
The Swedish Connection (Thérèse Ahlbeck and Marcus Osson, 2026)
Set in 1942, The Swedish Connection is a forthcoming historical drama film, scheduled to drop on Netflix on February 19th. Based on true events, the film is deeply rooted in Swedish history and offers a unique perspective on World War II, primarily by spotlighting a little-known Swedish war hero. The movie takes place during a period when Sweden tries to stay low-key to avoid getting in Germany’s nose.
The Swedish Connection revolves around the legal department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Gosta Engzell, under whom the department purposefully left out the majority of Jewish visa applications to maintain the country’s neutral stance. But when a new staff member arrives on the scene and begins to question the actions, trying to call for a change, a dangerous policy shift begins to surface.
Firebreak (David Victori, 2026)
Up next, Netflix has the high-stakes psychological thriller, titled Firebreak, scheduled for release on February 20th. Directed by David Victori, the Spanish thriller follows Mara, who, in an attempt to bury the hatchet, travels to the family’s summer house in the forest with her daughter, her brother-in-law, his wife Elena, and their son, only to be greeted with the greatest nightmare possible.
When a simple argument with her daughter unexpectedly spirals out of control, she disappears into the woods without a trace. What worsens their concern, raising the stakes of urgency all the same, is when an unprecedented wildfire breaks out and begins to spread rapidly, leaving the authorities no choice but to pause the search and order immediate evacuation. Firebreak follows a determined Mara’s pursuit and unrelenting search, evading the evacuation order and heading towards the forest to rescue the girl.
Strip Law (Cullen Crawford, 2026)
Just when we thought February couldn’t get any better, it just did, thanks to the adult animated comedy, Strip Law, releasing on the 20th. The comedy series follows anxious lawyer Lincoln Gumb, who’s struggling to score wins with his cases in Vegas, largely due to his boring personality. But all that changes when he pairs up with local magician Sheila Flambe, who ensures to bring colours to the most mundane cases.
So, if you’re looking for chaotic legal drama to end the marathon with, suited with top-notch animation and unrestrained humour, Strip Law is undoubtedly your cup of tea. Although packed with the most absurd cases one can possibly think of, the adult animated comedy is mostly a satirical portrayal of what it takes to succeed in the Las Vegas legal scene, topped off with slapstick humour.
