Five moments you probably missed in the ‘Stranger Things’ season five world premiere

Nine years ago, Stranger Things launched us into the gritty world of the Upside Down, and we still haven’t been able to recover. Now, ahead of the fifth and final season’s impending first volume release, the entire cast and crew from the hit Netflix series graced Hollywood’s iconic Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in LA.

Among the stars present were Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Priah Ferguson, and many more.

The live event, which took place on Stranger Things Day, November 6, was packed with interviews, goodies for fans, and, of course, the highly anticipated sneak peek into the final season.

But in case you couldn’t join the stars physically on the big day, here are the five biggest moments from the Stranger Things season five world premiere.

Millie Bobby Brown on Eleven’s cultural footprint and legacy

Conversing with Josh Horowitz at the Stranger Things premiere, Millie Bobby Brown shed light on Eleven’s impact on fans over the years since the hit series landed on Netflix in 2016. “I’m very, very lucky that I’m able to meet these young people who are so deeply moved by Eleven, her story, her personal struggles,” she said.

While it’s been nothing less than a rollercoaster ride for the star, she continued that Eleven has also marked her growth in several ways. Speaking of the season five journey, Brown added that it is “going to be really satisfying to everyone” who holds witness to this epic moment. And we hope nothing less.

Priah Ferguson reveals her favourite Erica comeback

Priah Ferguson as Erica is probably one of the most fan-favourite characters, and a lot of that favouritism has to do with her quirky tropes, like her cutting-sharp tongue. At the premiere, upon being asked about her ultimate comeback, she quoted, “You bald bastard” from the third season finale episode, titled ‘The Battle of Starcourt.’ The dialogue was meant for Murray following his dismissal of her as a four-year-old.

“She’s not four. He was trying to play with her age. She’s 10,” she continued, reasoning that, “She’s in double digits.”

Fathers who stole the show

The Stranger Things stars surely ate at the world premiere and left no crumbs. However, two dads outdid everyone on the red carpet: Joe Chrest, who portrays Ted Wheeler, sporting a crushed-velvet suit for the big evening.

On the other hand, “Papa” Matthew Modine, who plays Dr Brenner, arrived at the star-studded premiere, looking all dapper, and it’s safe to say that the fans were fanatic.

Winona Ryder loves the Stranger Things kids

The Stranger Things premiere was an emotional ride for everyone from the show, including Winona Ryder. She was emotionally overwhelmed when speaking of her younger co-stars. “I feel like this season I got to spend time with all of them, which was incredibly special. They’re, they’re just… I’ll get emotional… They’re just… I will always love them forever,” she nearly fumbled while singing a part of Dolly Parton’s ‘I Will Always Love You.’

The first five minutes of Stranger Things season five

After a long wait, fans finally got the greatly anticipated sneak peek with the spine-chilling first five minutes of Stranger Things season five’s first episode, titled ‘The Crawl.’ Nothing has been the same ever since. The episode opens deep in the darkness of the Upside Down’s forest when Will disappeared for the very first time nine years ago.
