First glimpse of 'The Witcher' season two

Season two of The Witcher is one of Netflix’s most highly anticipated arrivals of the year. It’s been over a year since the first season grabbed audiences, and now Netflix has shared the first look at the second instalment.

When we say first look, we really mean the first glimpse. The clip is only 12 seconds long and consequently little information. But the faintest hint of the series is enough to get fans excited for the new episodes.

Geralt (Henry Cavill), Jennifer (Anya Chalotra), Ciri (Freya Allan) and Jaskier (Joey Batey) were all scheduled to return for season two before the first effort concluded.

Despite delays due to the global pandemic, the second season has concluded filming, and we should see the new episodes arrive very soon. The release date looks certain before the end of the year.

One thing we already know about the second season, is that it will see a host of new characters, including the wonderful Simon Callow as the Dorian detective Codrhinger. Bridgerton star Adjoa Andoh will appear as priestess Nenneke among many stellar casting choices.

You’ll have to wait a little while longer to see those clips but, for now, at least we have a glimpse of The Witcher season two, even if it is only 12 seconds long.
