The Netflix catalogue is once again expanding its horizons with a fresh South Korean thriller, The Price of Confession. By the looks of it, it’s already gaining a reputation ahead of its December premiere.

Directed by Lee Jeong Hyo, best known for his work in Crash Landing on You, and written by Kwon Jong Kwan, boasting credits like Proof of Innocence, The Price of Confession, recently witnessed a trailer release from Netflix.

Filming reportedly began in late August 2024. Although updates on the status are currently scarce, except for a What’s on Netflix report that it was on its way to completion in late October, the premiere update looks promising.

The Price of Confession revolves around a woman, Ahn Yun-su, whose dreams of a happy married life unravel when her husband is killed. To worsen it all, she ends up being the prime suspect in the murder as she struggles to prove her innocence. During this crucial hour, she meets an enigmatic woman, feared to be a witch amid the prisoners, known for her unreal ability to read people.

While their encounter has its own consequences, a prosecutor and a lawyer put their all into finding out the truth and bringing justice for Yun-su.

Who is in the cast?

Jeon Do Yeon plays Ahn Yun-su, while Kim Go Eun portrays Mo Eun. Park Hae Soo as Baek Dong Hoon and Jin Seon Kyu as Jang Jeong Gu round out the cast for The Price of Confession, Netflix’s forthcoming thriller.

Netflix recently released a trailer for The Price of Confession on November 6th, and the snippets are enough to chill your spines. The trailer shows a woman in distress ringing 911 while her husband lies bleeding right next to her. However, when the interrogation begins, her detached demeanour, evident in scenes where she asks for a “mild coffee,” constant references to CSI, and her strange smiling throughout, make her suspicious to the authorities.
