What is Jingle Bell Heist about?

The movie follows Sophia Martin (played by Olivia Holt), a young woman who moves from Philadelphia to London to take care of her mother after a cancer diagnosis. Life abroad isn’t what she expected. She comes to bills piling up, which her two jobs aren’t sufficient for. On top of that, her mother’s surgery isn’t covered by insurance. Out of options and out of patience, Sophia decides to rob her awful boss, Maxwell Sterling, played by Peter Serafinowicz.

Her plan goes sideways when she’s caught by Nick O’Connor (Connor Swindells), who is a former security consultant. He is also struggling to make ends meet after a messy divorce. So, instead of turning her in, Nick proposes something wild: teaming up. Together, they plan a Christmas Eve heist at one of London’s most glamorous department stores. But as they plot their “perfect” crime, the two realise the biggest problem isn’t the risk, and it’s their growing feelings for each other.

The film stars Olivia Holt (Heart Eyes) and Connor Swindells (Sex Education), with a supporting cast that includes Lucy Punch, Peter Serafinowicz, Poppy Drayton, Michael Salami, and Natasha Joseph.

Jingle Bell Heist is directed by Michael Fimognari, known for To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, written by Abby McDonald (Bridgerton) and Amy Reed (Diary of a Future President).
