What is the plot?
The Trap is a forthcoming German-language psychological thriller series that follows reclusive author Lisa Konrad, who has maintained a safe distance from the outside world after witnessing the gruesome murder of her sister, Anna, over a decade ago. But after spotting who she believes is the alleged perpetrator on television, she finally decides to leave the house to orchestrate a trap for the killer, using herself as the bait while preparing for a revenge arc.
Who is in the cast?
Friederike Becht has been roped in to portray Lisa Konrad in The Trap, while Dear Child star Hans Löw plays journalist Robert Lenzen. Mathias Brandt as Norbert Rudow, Miriam Ohlmeyer as Sophie, Josephine Thiesen as Anna, Malaya Stern Takeda as Yuma, Anna Schudt and Michael Klammer round out the cast of the psychological thriller limited series.
In addition to directing, Isabel Kleefeld also adapted the screenplay from Melanie Raabe’s novel and serves as the creative producer. Constantin Film produces the series with Tom Spies and Friederich Oetker. Oliver Berben is listed as an executive producer.
