Everything you need to know about ‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ season three

Whoever told Jackie that a love triangle was a good idea clearly didn’t read the millions of cautionary tales about how it’s not. But since there are still a few pages left for My Life with the Walter Boys on Netflix, even the million books aren’t helping as season three picks up production following the shocking season finale of the second instalment.

Cameras began rolling for the second season of My Life with the Walter Boys before season two could even premiere. But now that’s done and dusted, what newfound information and challenges will ground the teens and adults of this drama in the third?

Fortunately, fans don’t have to wait too long to have their prayers answered and theories resolved, the cryptic response from showrunner, creator, and executive producer Melanie Halsall, speaking on what’s to come with Tudum has ignited a frenzy: “We’ve got a lot of things to do”, which is equal parts terrifying and enticing.

So, if you, too, are curious, especially after the Netflix drama left My Life with the Walter Boys where it did, here’s everything you should know about season three.

What will happen in season three?

My Life with the Walter Boys concluded on colossal tenterhooks in the second season. The season finale saw Cole confiding in Jackie about his true feelings, finally tired of fighting them so long. But the real shocker comes with her reciprocation, especially since Jackie and Alex have been in a secret tryst throughout the season. However, if you think that’s worse, well, wait for it.

Just in time for Cole and Jackie’s kiss, we’re caught off guard. They should have considered that even walls have ears, so let alone Alex, who was literally right there, eavesdropping on the entire conversation. But before a confrontation could break out, their older brother Will arrived with an ambulance, ringing in tow. It’s something to do with their dad, George, but we never know what.

Cutting forward to season three, Halsall plans to see what goes down between Jackie and Cole, and of course, Alex and Cole. Now that it’s all clear, “she also can’t keep bouncing between two boys,” she added. She also wants to see the impact on Alex of the romance brewing between Kiley and Dylan. There’s a lot of trauma to address in the upcoming season, and the challenges are one too many.

That said, Halsall is also excited to see the aftermath of Cole’s victorious coaching and Alex’s induction within the rodeo team ranks, sponsored by Blake’s dad. She has additional plans to touch on Jackie’s dream of becoming the student body president while navigating her own see-sawing life. The showrunner notes the significance of evolution in Grace’s friendship with Jackie going forward.

But it’s not only the teen relationships that make her curious. Halsall is equally invested in the bond between Tara and Nikhil and the complications with Richard. She also has potential arcs for Will’s wife, Hayley and Grace’s mother, Joanna. All in all, there’s more than you can think that awaits in the wings of My Life with the Walter Boys season three.

Who is in the cast?

Nothing is set in stone about My Life with the Walter Boys season three. However, given that the central characters, Jackie, Cole, and Alex, aren’t going anywhere, it makes sense that they will return for twice the dose of teen drama. The main tribe includes Noah LaLonde, Nikki Rodriguez, and Ashby Gentry.

The Walter family is expected to reappear as well, considering Halsall teased major storylines. And so are Grace, Richard, and Tara. However, Netflix has yet to break the ice on the confirmed cast.

Is there a trailer available?

No! Netflix hasn’t yet dropped a trailer for the forthcoming instalment.

Is there a release date on Netflix?

As of now, there’s no release date or window lent to season three, but it’s slated to release sometime 2026; best to keep your ears to the wall for further updates.
