Everything you need to know about Millie Bobby Brown’s ‘Just Picture It’

For nearly a decade, Millie Bobby Brown has been the face of Stranger Things. As Eleven, she went from child star to global icon and shaped one of the biggest TV phenomena of our time.

There is an entire generation out there who will see and call her “Eleven” forever. Sadly, the year 2025 marks the end of that journey. With the final season arriving later this year, Brown is saying a final goodbye to the show that made her a household name.

It’s the end of an era, and that’s making everyone nostalgic, but the actress isn’t wasting any time looking forward. This year has already been a big deal for her, as she adopted a baby girl with her husband, Jack Bongiovi. And now, she is all set for her next project with Netflix.

Millie’s next Netflix chapter begins with not monsters, not mind powers, or the Upside Down. It’s romance. Her new project, Just Picture It, is not only her first romantic comedy but also her seventh collaboration with Netflix. Surprisingly enough, she is not just starring in it either, but she’s producing it too, proving she’s ready to take creative control over her career.

So while Eleven’s story is wrapping up, Brown is stepping straight into a brand-new genre. Here’s everything we know about Just Picture It.

What is the plot?

Just Picture It follows two college students who suddenly find themselves looking at something impossible. And it’s not aliens or secret treasures. Their phones glitch and start showing them photos from ten years in the future. In those photos, they are not just still together but happily married with kids.

Sounds like a bizarre tech mishap, right? But it doesn’t take long before this glitch quickly turns into a question neither of them can ignore: are they destined for each other, or will the weight of knowing their “future” ruin the present? This is a high-concept setup that makes for both laughs and heartfelt moments, and it is a major pivot for Brown into lighter, more playful storytelling.

Who is in the cast and crew?

Millie Bobby Brown takes the lead opposite Gabriel LaBelle (The Fabelmans), who plays her unexpected other half in this time-tangled love story. Joining them are Amrit Kaur (The Sex Lives of College Girls), Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), Anthony Keyvan (XO, Kitty), Ben Jackson Walker (Broadway’s & Juliet), and Brec Bassinger (Stargirl).

The supporting cast is just as interesting. You have Idina Menzel (Frozen) and Margo Martindale (Justified) adding veteran presence. Behind the camera, Millie Bobby Brown is producing the film alongside Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Robert Brown. Jake Bongiovi, Alyssa Altman, and David Kern are on board as executive producers.

Is there a trailer available?

Not yet. Just Picture It is still gearing up for production, with filming expected to begin in September 2025. But given Netflix’s track record with Brown’s projects (Damsel, Enola Holmes), you can expect a big promotional push once footage is ready.

When does Just Picture It release on Netflix?

Netflix hasn’t set an exact release date yet. As filming starts later this year, fans can likely expect the rom-com to arrive sometime in 2026. That makes it one of the first major post-Stranger Things projects for Brown, setting the tone for her next era on the platform.
