There’s no room for summertime sadness in 2026, because Netflix plans to keep our hands and our watchlists brimming with content to the brink. So, in addition to all the announcements that have been made so far, Ladies First, an English-language comedy adaptation based on Eleonore Pourriat’s Je Ne Suis Pas Un Homme Facile, is also coming our way this year, in May.

“In Ladies First, Oscar nominee Sacha Baron Cohen faces off with fellow Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike as a ladies’ man who finds himself in a very unfamiliar landscape – an alternate reality where women hold all the power,” Netflix teases.

Directed by Thea Sharrock, best known for classics like The Beautiful Game, Wicked Little Letters, and Me Before You, with a screenplay by Natalie Krinsky, Cinco Paul, and Katie Silberman, Krinsky also serves as an executive producer on the film alongside Nicky Kentish Barnes, with Liza Chasin, Eleonore Dailly, and Edouard de Lachomette producing.
