Everything you need to know about ‘Bridgerton Season 4’

The ball invitations are going out again officially, as Bridgerton is returning for its fourth season. After many fan speculations and guesses, Netflix finally decided to clear the rumours and give fans what they want.

And it looks like this time, it’s Benedict’s turn to fall head over heels. After watching his siblings find their happily-ever-afters, the artistic second son is about to get a story of his own… one that begins with a masquerade and a girl he isn’t supposed to fall for.

Season four marks the next chapter in Netflix’s biggest period romance, drawing inspiration from Julia Quinn’s third novel, An Offer from a Gentleman. The show has always been known for its lavish visuals and swoon-worthy drama, but this season adds something softer and more whimsical. This time, you have masks, more secrets, and that slow realisation that love doesn’t always follow society’s rules.

Fans have been waiting to see Benedict’s world up close, and the upcoming season promises just that. Between its new faces and returning couples, all with a touch of mystery, this might just be Bridgerton’s most romantic season yet.

So, before Lady Whistledown sharpens her quill and the orchestra starts to play, here is everything you need to know about Bridgerton Season 4.

What will happen in Bridgerton season four?

As we stated before, this time, it is all about Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson). He is the free-spirited artist who has never been in a hurry to settle down. That is, until a certain masquerade ball changes everything.

At Violet Bridgerton’s grand event, Benedict meets Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), a young woman draped in silver who instantly catches his eye. What he doesn’t know is that she is living a double life. Beneath the mask, Sophie works as a maid, carrying dreams far beyond her station (excuse me, Cinderella). Their worlds meet for one magical night, setting off a secret romance that challenges everything fans expect.

The story takes clear inspiration from Cinderella, but in true Bridgerton fashion. This time, it’s less about glass slippers and more about identity and freedom. You can expect candlelit dances, quiet heartbreaks, and a relationship that feels both grand and intimate, which has basically been the background of most seasons so far.

Who is in the cast and crew?

Alongside Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha, the familiar Bridgerton circle returns in full force. Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley are returning for their roles as Anthony and Kate, along with Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton returning as Penelope and Colin. Then you have Claudia Jessie, Hannah Dodd, and Ruth Gemmell back as Eloise, Francesca, and Violet.

Polly Walker once again brings Portia Featherington’s sharp wit, while Golda Rosheuvel and Adjoa Andoh return as Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury. And yes, Julie Andrews continues to narrate as the ever-watchful Lady Whistledown.

Joining the cast this season are Katie Leung as Lady Araminta Gun, Michelle Mao and Isabella Wei as her daughters Rosamund and Posy, and Victor Alli as Lord John Stirling.

Is there a trailer available?

Sadly, not yet. At least not a full one. Netflix has shared a short teaser that sets the mood with velvet masks and the moment Benedict spots Sophie across the dance floor. It is brief but beautiful, teasing that instant spark before she vanishes into the crowd.

A longer trailer is expected closer to the new year, but even this tiny glimpse has fans swooning already. The tone feels lighter and more romantic than season three, something that feels almost like a dream.

When does Bridgerton season four release on Netflix?

Netflix has confirmed that Bridgerton season four will arrive in two parts, with part one releasing on January 29th, 2026, followed by part two on February 26th.

The season will feature eight episodes in total. Until then, you can revisit seasons one to three on Netflix and watch the Bridgerton family grow, fall, and rise again.
