What is the plot?
In Black Doves season two, Helen doesn’t change her ways and still divulges her nation’s secrets to the covert titular organisation. However, after the unravelling last Christmas and with her husband Wallace getting his ducks in a row to become prime minister, she’s clearly walking on thin ice.
With Helen’s mysterious handler, Mrs Reed, entrapped in an inescapable plot to undermine her position in Black Doves, Helen finally reunites with Sam, who now lives an isolated, reclusive life, drinking in Soho bars and taking on low-rate hits. But as they join forces to find new answers, loyalties are put to the test, trust is destroyed, and protecting the ones they love might risk everything.

Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw reprise their roles as Helen and Sam, respectively, alongside Sarah Lancashire and Andrew Buchan returning as Mrs Reed and Wallace in the second season of the hit spy thriller. The returning ensemble also comprises Kathryn Hunter as Lenny Lines, Ella Lily Hyland as Williams, Gabrielle Creevy as Eleanor, Agnes O’Casey as Dani, and Molly Chesworth as Marie.
