Everything we know about The Kissing Booth 3 cast

Directed by Vince Marcello and adapted from Beth Reekles’ The Kissing Booth books, Netflix Original, The Kissing Booth 3, is bringing a bittersweet ending to the trilogy. The series of films have gathered quite the fan following ever since the first film was released in 2018.

The teen comedy has a fairly simple premise where two best friends have the time of their lives in their final years of high school before taking off into the real world.

Attractive high schoolers galore, the films abound in typical American high school stereotypes yet manage to weave an adorable tale of friendship in general.

The Kissing Booth 3 is set to stream on Netflix on August 11, 2021, just a few hours from now, and we cannot keep calm. While you have to stay tuned to know what we think of the film, here is a sneak peek into the film’s main cast and what they are up to now.

Everything we know about The Kissing Booth 3 cast

Joey King

The lead protagonist of The Kissing Booth franchise is the funny and uber confused 17-year-old Elle. Played deftly by Joey King, who adds an endearing touch to her character, King makes Elle seem relatable and adorable (except for when she receives letters of acceptance from both Harvard and Berkeley!). Elle is flawed and vulnerable, and King adds a sense of humanism and empathy to the character who is caught in the crossroads of life.

King is actually a brilliant actress and has been familiar with the camera since a very young age. Now 22, born on July 30, 1999, she is often mistaken to be even younger, as she exudes mischievous innocence. Acclaimed for her Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated performance in The Act, King will soon be seen in David Leitch’s 2022 film Bullet Train.

Joel Courtney

Joel Courtney stars as Elle’s 17-year-old best friend Lee Flynn, who is also her confidante and partner-in-crime, and they share the same birthday in the series. Lee is constantly overshadowed by his overachieving jock brother, who initially causes some tension when he starts dating Elle but soon enough, Lee warms up to the idea.

Having starred in films like Super 8 and MercyThe Kissing Booth franchise was Joel’s big break. After the films, he has managed to land himself roles in films like Players, a Netflix Original with a star-studded ensemble, as well as the lead role of Roger Sharpe in J.J. Abrams’s film Pinball: the Man Who Saved the Game.

Jacob Elordi

Jacob Elordi is an Australian actor who garnered a lot of attention for his chiselled features and suave on-screen presence as Lee’s older brother and Elle’s crush-turned-boyfriend Noah Flynn. Later seen as Nate Jacobs in the HBO series Euphoria, Elordi is showered with a lot of attention on the Internet and prefers maintaining a low profile.

Having initially dated King on the sets of The Kissing Booth franchise before sparking romance rumours with Zendaya and a few others, this 24-year-old Aussie actor, born in Brisbane on June 26, 1997, is a massive fan of photography, as proven by his Instagram aesthetics.

Taylor Zakhar-Perez

Born on December 25, 1991, this 29-year-old actor surprisingly passes off as the 17-year-old mysterious and quiet, but handsome, new transfer student Marco who dances with Elle and ends up kissing her, becoming Noah’s arch-nemesis.  To say he looks his part would be a stretch, but he is pretty charming and lives up to Hollywood’s standards of high school beauty!

With an avid passion for travelling and motorcycling, Zakhar-Perez’s Instagram is proof of his varied interests. Having made appearances in shows such as iCarly, Young & Hungry and Awkward, he learned the guitar for his role in the series.

With a background in musical theatre, he loves living life to the fullest and told Glamour that he is someone who loves to “paddleboard and hike and surf” and would date someone who was “adventurous” and would say “yes all the time”.

Maisie Richardson-Sellers

With an accent to die for, this 29-year-old star was the cause of Elle’s envy in the second instalment of the franchise, being the perfect, all-rounder friend in Noah’s life. In real life, too, Richardson-Sellers is equally mature, polite and beautiful.

Maisie has appeared on the CW series The Originals that is available for streaming on Netflix. Also known for her appearances on Legends of Tomorrow and Of Kings and Prophets, Maisie is an incredible actress. She identifies as queer and actively works towards making the world a better and more positive space for women to share their powerful stories.

Meganne Young

Black Sails star Meganne Young is actually the second oldest on the show. The 31-year-old, however, plays Lee’s 17-year-old girlfriend Rachel who is sweet and accommodating and the biggest cheerleader of Elle and Lee’s friendship.

Molly Ringwald

Born in 1968, this 53-year-old star is one of the most well-known teen icons from the 1980s who made her mark in Hollywood with legendary films including Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink. Ringwald has been a prominent figure in films and television for the longest time and was an influential teen icon.

Currently seen in recurring roles on Riverdale and The Kissing Booth franchise, Ringwaldnow resorts to playing the mom figure. She is Noah and Lee’s mother and Elle’s late mother’s best friend who dishes out cool relationship and life advice and keeps an eye out for her beloved children.
