Homi Adajania is back with another intriguing project. And this time, it is a Netflix murder mystery, Murder Mubarak (transl. Congratulations on Murder).
Adajania has previously mesmerised audiences with his directorial debut, Being Cyrus, another delicious murder mystery revolving around a dysfunctional Parsi family. His later films Cocktail, Angrezi Medium and Finding Fanny have leapt from genre to genre, impressing audiences and critics alike along the way.

What is Murder Mubarak about?
The story of Murder Mubarak, written by Gazal Dhaliwal and Suprotim Sengupta, revolves around a murder investigation led by a non-traditional police officer who shines a spotlight on a diverse group of suspects. As he delves deeper into their lives, he uncovers hidden secrets and unexpected twists, challenging his perception of the case.
Netflix has not yet revealed more about the film, but the official blurb of the book Club You To Death divulges more about what to expect. “When a hunky personal trainer is found asphyxiated to death under an overloaded barbell at the posh Delhi Turf Club, on the eve of the club elections, it is first thought to be a freak accident. But soon, it becomes clear that one of the members of the DTC – all pickled-in-privilege Dilliwallahs – is a cold-blooded killer.”
Set in the pulsating heart of Lutyen’s Delhi, this Chauhan novel unfurls, “As the capital bristles with speculation and conspiracy theories, Crime Branch veteran ACP Bhavani Singh is appointed to investigate the case. Who is in the cast of Murder Mubarak?
The film features a stellar cast, including Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra, and Suhail Nayyar.
While Tripathi plays the detective investigating the scandalous murder, the rest of the star-studded cast is smattered with the likely suspects.
