Everything to know about the Halloween return of ‘Haunted Hotel’
The spooky season is inching closer by the minute, and so is the time for Netflix subscribers to check into Haunted Hotel for a second trip down the hilarious horror lanes.
Created by Matt Roller, who was also a writer on the hit Rick and Morty, the adult animated supernatural comedy premiered last September, quickly becoming a fan favourite and hitting the weekly top ten shows chart in 56 countries.
While the renewal was also relatively rapid, the beloved dysfunctional family is now set to return just in time for the season of spook.
So, if you missed walking down the terrifying corridors and joining lingering spirits for evening banter, here’s a rundown of everything known so far about Haunted Hotel season two.
What is the plot?
Haunted Hotel follows single mother Katherine and her children, who struggle to run the hotel she inherited from her deceased brother, Nathan, and make a living because loitering spirits, demons, and otherworldly creatures scare guests away.
Left with no choice but to step up, even from the dead, Nathan decides to help his sister build a successful business, often working overtime from the realm of spirits to keep the supernatural disasters and disaster-makers away.
While the second season has a lot on its plate with Katherine still struggling to make the hotel idea work, fans might see her explore her life, which she seemed to have closed the door on previously. Nathan could still be reeling from the revelations surrounding his death, while, according to What’s on Netflix, Ben may grow even more obsessed with his creepy interests. Not to mention, eyes are also on Esther and Abaddon.
Who is in the cast and crew?
Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skylar Gisondo, Natalie Palamides, and Jimmi Simpson will reprise their roles as Nathan, Katherine, Ben, Esther, and Abaddon, respectively. Fans can also expect supporting cast members, including Drew Tarver as Lonny and Duncan Trussell as Stabby Paul, to return.
Behind the camera, Matt Roller returns as a creator and showrunner, alongside supervising director Erica Hayes, with Chris McKenna, Dan Harmon, and Steve Levy executive-producing the season. Titmouse founders Chris and Shannon Prynoski also serve as executive producers alongside Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina.
