Everything to know about Harlan Coben’s upcoming mystery, ‘Run Away’
Tired of circling back to old Harlan Coben mysteries on Netflix? Then there’s good news for you. It’s time to strap in and buckle up your seatbelts for Run Away, a forthcoming limited series on the platform from the American author.
Although scheduled for a 2026 release, the buzz is too loud to ignore, especially after Netflix rolled out the first-look images.
The eight-episode limited series revolves around a man named Simon, whose neatly organised life goes south when his daughter, Paige, runs away. “Run Away is about family – about what we will do to keep our family intact, what secrets we keep within our family, and what secrets we keep as a family,” Coben tells Tudum.
Based on Coben’s 2019 novel, Run Away, on Netflix, aims to unravel those mysteries amidst Simon’s desperate attempts to save Paige. But for more details about the thriller, here is an overview of all the things you need to know about the next mystery.
What is the plot?
Run Away, the upcoming limited series, tells the story of Simon, who had the most perfect life one can imagine. From loving wife and kids to an equally promising career, he seemed to have it all, or so he thought, until his eldest daughter, Paige, ran away, leaving him in a void that nothing could recover. When he goes out on the hunt for Paige, who’s unguarded and caught up with substance abuse, he feels there’s still a chance for her to return home.
But when Simon finds out that she’s not alone, verbal disagreements escalate into unprecedented violence. Needless to say, he loses his daughter yet again. However, this time, the search ends up in the darkness of the vicious underworld, making him confront truths and secrets that are enough to turn his family upside down forever.
