Everything to know about Dan Brown’s new Robert Langdon series

Robert Langdon’s next mystery is brewing down the Netflix corridors, with cameras already rolling in Prague for the still-untitled series.

Set in the world of Dan Brown’s bestselling The Secret of Secrets, the sixth novel spotlighting the Harvard symbologist, the show has already roped in Tinseltown A-listers like Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall.

The Harvard professor and symbologist first appeared in Angels & Demons in 2000, and reappeared in The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol, Inferno, Origin, and The Secret of Secrets.

While Netflix has roped in Carlton Cuse and Dan Brown as co-creators, for those eyeing the rest of the details, here’s everything to know about the upcoming Robert Langdon series.

What is the plot?

Based in the world of Dan Brown’s 2025 mystery thriller The Secret of Secrets, the forthcoming unnamed series centres on Robert Langdon, who embarks on a deadly race against “ancient forces and the clock” to save a missing scientist before it’s too late and retrieve a game-changing manuscript comprising discoveries and revelations that have the power to change humans’ understanding of the mind.  

Bringing a mix of futuristic science with mystical lore, the adaptation promises to send viewers on the edge of their seats with a story that offers equal parts suspense and intrigue. Speaking of his partnership with Brown for the adaptation, Carlton Cuse said, “The chance to work with Dan Brown to bring Langdon into a new chapter onscreen is a genuine thrill.”

“I was drawn in by the combination of exciting elements: It’s a propulsive thriller set in a fantastic location: Prague. It’s also a great love story, and a provocative exploration of human consciousness.”

Who is in the cast and crew?

Morgan Spector has been cast as the series lead, Robert Langdon, while Rebecca Hall, who is also set to appear in Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story, portrays Katherin Solomon.

Also joining the ensemble cast are Cherry Jones as Heide Nagel, Corey Stoll as Everett Finch, Rob Delaney as Jonas Faukman, Abbey Lee as Sasha Vesna, Mamoudou Athie as Michael Harris, Ben Levi Ross as Alex Conan, Anamaria Marinca as Dr Gessner, Richard Sammel as Karl Muller, and Elena Saurel as Susan Housemore.

In addition to serving as a co-creator, Carlton Cuse is a showrunner, writer, and executive producer on the series. Dan Brown, Emma Forman for Genre Arts, and Zoe Robyn also executive produce.
