Everything movie and series coming to Netflix this December

Netflix is all set to kill it in December because it looks like somebody at headquarters got a little too excited clicking ‘add’ to the list.

In other words, Netflix is bringing in so many things for you to binge, but all that aside, we know what everybody is looking forward to: Stranger Things, duh.

And as much as it is true, let’s not ignore the fact that we have many big and small films, new and returning shows, and random surprises waiting for us in December. All you need to do is scroll the list in the end for two seconds, and you will already be overwhelmed, but the good kind, where you keep going anyway.

But let’s be civil and start from the first week. On December 1st, Netflix wants you to go grab as many things as possible because there are movies for almost every mood. You get Little Women if you want to feel something, Pulp Fiction if you want to act like the coolest person in the room, The Wolf of Wall Street if you suddenly need Leo DiCaprio screaming into your living room, and A League of Their Own if you want to yell at the TV like baseball matters again. And then they casually drop the whole Kung Fu Panda trilogy like that isn’t comfort food for half the country.

And the movies keep piling up. A new Knives Out movie? Yup. More Christmas romances than your brain can process? Of course. Titanic is sailing in on the 16th because apparently, we are all meant to relive that heartbreak. And then there’s The Northman, where all you can do is keep wondering till the end why everyone is fighting and feeling no pain.

But Netflix isn’t done. The series arrivals this month look like someone threw a dart at a board full of genres and just said yes to everything it landed on. Emily in Paris is back, and she is suddenly also in Rome because Emily moves through countries like she is switching tabs. Stranger Things drops volume two right on Christmas Day, because why not? And if that wasn’t enough, they are bringing The West Wing, all seven seasons, which means your political-drama era is officially unlocked.

And the random picks? Man vs. Baby, with Rowan Atkinson being terrorised by a toddler, feels extremely on-brand for December energy. Castle Rock is swooping in to give you psychological nightmares. Meanwhile, Badly in Love is back, so you can binge messy dating drama without leaving your couch. And they even threw in Record of Ragnarok season three for anime fans who like their battles big and intense.

December also comes loaded with documentaries, from true crime to sports, pop culture to boyband auditions… literally everything. We are talking about Elway, a whole film dissecting mid-70s culture, Simon Cowell building a new group, and even a deep dive into a global scandal with Cover-Up. Netflix believes in educating its viewers, and that’s the idea it is going for.

And because it’s December, Netflix jam-packed it with holiday content too. Christmas movies are dropping back-to-back. They even dropped two Mean Girls films on the same day, the old one for nostalgia and the new one for people who like mess.

Basically, December is Netflix showing off. You want classics? Done. Sequels? Here. Comfort rewatches? Delivered. Dramas? Too many. Reality TV? Of course. The entire West Wing? Yes, sir.

So yeah… if your December plans involved productivity? Good luck with that. Netflix said no.
