Every show Netflix cancelled and renewed so far in 2026
In addition to opening the floodgates of entertainment every now and then, Netflix has made a slew of renewal and cancellation announcements so far this year.
As of yet, Netflix has reportedly cancelled three shows, with another rumoured to be axed. Likewise, Netflix has also made headlines with some major renewals, such as The Lincoln Lawyer and Emily in Paris, among others.
Most recently, on February 13th, Netflix cancelled the beloved animated series Terminator Zero, after just one season, due to ratings discrepancy. In a post shared on X, series creator Mattson Tomlin wrote, “The critical and audience reception to it was tremendous, but at the end of the day, not nearly enough people watched it. I would’ve loved to deliver on the Future War I had planned in seasons 2 and 3, but I’m also very happy with how it feels contained as it is.”
Not so long ago, Netflix renewed the latest ice-skating romance drama series, Finding Her Edge, on February 3rd. The series follows Adriana Russo as she prepares for the World Championship with her cocky new partner, all while grappling with her existing feelings for her former partner and first love, Freddie.
The same day, Netflix also gave the greenlight for A Man on the Inside season three, confirming Ted Danson’s return as the late-in-life detective Charles Niewendyk. In the first instalment, Charles went undercover at the Pacific View Retirement Community to track down a jewellery thief. Meanwhile, the second season raised the stakes, forcing him to go undercover as an engineering professor at Wheeler College to uncover a laptop theft related to a $400 donation.
That said, in the conclusive week of January, specifically on the 28th, Netflix showed the green signal to its signature legal drama, The Lincoln Lawyer, for a fifth season. The renewal took place on January 28, before the fourth instalment could even drop on Netflix.
Returning to the slate of cancellations, Netflix also took the exit for The Abandons just after one season on January 21st. The Western drama starring Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson is officially one and done. Similarly, The Vince Staples Show is also not returning after two instalments as the comedy series was cancelled on the same day.
Now, coming to the rumour mill of potential cancellation, things aren’t looking good for With Love, Meghan. Although not formally cancelled as of yet, according to a Page Six report from January, citing sources, the lifestyle show is less likely to return for a third run.
While nothing’s confirmed on that end, the good news is that Charlie Brooker announced earlier in January that Black Mirror is all set to return, “just in time for reality to catch up with it.” Likewise, Emily in Paris is also returning for a sixth season on the platform, as was confirmed on January 5th. So, are you ready for 2026?
