Every series coming to Netflix this month: August 2025

If viewers thought streaming peaked with Netflix in July with heavy-hitters like The Sandman, The Waterfront, and the ripple effects of the Squid Game finale, brace yourselves in August. Netflix’s deck of cards in July came with a trump card every week. But as August nears with woeful ringer of Jenna Ortega’s comeback, the OTT platform doubles down series-wise with more than what’s asked for. For those wondering what and why, here’s a rundown of every series coming to Netflix in August.

There’s nothing Netflix loves more than answering prayers. So, it is about to bring the second season of the superhit CBS action drama, Fire Country, to start the month with a punch-fest. On the same day, Netflix plans to drop a double-shot reality series, with the latest season of the long-running Pawn Stars and the third season of Perfect Match. Fast-forward a few days, and subscribers can stream two seasons of the HBO anthology series Love Life.

Just a day later, on August 6th, Netflix will welcome the outcast of outcasts, Wednesday Addams, with the highly anticipated second season of Wednesday. Part one sees Wednesday’s return to the Nevermore Academy, followed by the release of part two in September. Since the stakes are higher this time around with Netflix dialling up the horror, August promises to lighten up 12th onwards with another Netflix original reality series, Final Draft.

Final Draft is a Japanese series revolving around twenty-five athletes competing to win 30m yen in an attempt to launch a second career after most of them retired. On August 13th, Netflix is jumping back on the trend train of teen dramas with the French Netflix original series, Young Millionaires. And while you’re navigating the transition from bliss to chaos, a Tyler Perry production continuation begs for attention.

August 14th brings the second part of Perry’s hit political drama, Miss Governor, formerly She The People. But that’s not all. The Netflix Argentinian sports drama, In the Mud, also joins in on the arrival arc. In the Mud tells the story of five female prisoners who form an unlikely alliance following a tragic accident, but only until prison politics get the best of them. The highly anticipated return of Fatal Seduction and the Korean docu-series, The Echo of Survivors: Inside Korea’s Tragedies, mark the middle of August.

Even after August 15th, Netflix will keep things busy on the series front. And for those wondering if any childlike wonders return next month, well, you’re right on track. CoComelon Lane’s fifth instalment is scheduled to drop on August 18th. However, August is going to be a highlight for sports fans with America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys.

Netflix plans to keep subscribers glued to the screen for the last ten days of August with a thrilling new British limited series with a political spin, Hostage, on August 21st. And to help adult animation lovers enjoy the month, Bojack Horseman creators have slated Long Story Short for an August 22nd release. For the kids out there, Netflix has the second season of Barbie Mysteries in its lineup.

The second season of My Life with the Walter Boys will be released on August 28th. Netflix will supposedly call it a month with a new Spanish limited series, Two Graves. So, in case you thought Netflix would allow you to catch a breath in August, well, you’re mistaken.
