Every series coming to Netflix in November

Dear readers, even though this list is technically about every series coming to Netflix in November, let’s be honest… everyone’s eyes are fixed on the end of the month because that’s when it will happen.

That’s when Stranger Things will finally return for its fifth and final season, and for a lot of people, that’s not just another Netflix release. It is the end of an era.

It feels strange even saying it, that the story which started in 2016 with a missing boy, a flickering set of Christmas lights, and a group of nerdy kids from Hawkins, Indiana, is about to wrap up. The show practically raised a generation of fans who grew up alongside its characters.

Stranger Things gave Netflix its identity, set the bar for streaming, and made Dungeons & Dragons cool again. Watching Stranger Things 5: Volume 1 this November isn’t just about seeing how it ends but about saying goodbye to the nostalgia that defined an entire decade of binge culture. It’s the show that taught Netflix how to be Netflix.

But just because November belongs to Stranger Things doesn’t mean the rest of the month is empty. In fact, Netflix’s upcoming slate is filled with shows that might surprise you.

Delhi Crime is back with season three, and if you haven’t heard about this show before, you might be missing out on something huge. In other words, if you too, have the notion of Bollywood still being just the dance numbers and drama, this true-crime-based show promises you spine chills.

It is then followed by Squid Game: The Challenge (Season 2), which continues to test just how far people will go for prize money.

Netflix also brings a few fresh international originals that sound genuinely intriguing. Death by Lightning, for example, turns a piece of American history into a tense limited series about the assassination of President Garfield. Then there is Had I Not Seen The Sun, which dives into Taiwan’s crime world, and Mrs Playmen explores Italian rebellion through an erotic magazine empire.

Of course, the list is incomplete without a K-drama, and this time, representing it is As You Stood By, which looks beautifully tragic in that way only Korean dramas can pull off.

And then there’s The Vince Staples Show (Season 2) with its dry humour and a little existential mess (the good kind). Minx also makes a comeback, still set in the 1970s and still balancing feminism with humour that bites.

For those who like a little comfort TV, The Great British Baking Show: Holidays (Season 8) is returning, ready to sprinkle sugar on your seasonal stress. Meanwhile, kids get a fair share too with Gabby’s Dollhouse (Season 12) and Unicorn Academy (Chapter 4) dropping just in time for the school holidays.

And yes, Broadchurch is coming to Netflix too, which is great news if you have been craving a proper slow-burn mystery. Olivia Colman and David Tennant are phenomenal, and if you have somehow never watched it, you’re in for one of the best-written crime series ever made.

So yes, Stranger Things might be the big goodbye, but November still feels alive, like Netflix is saving a mix of everything to ease that heartbreak.
