Leaving Soon

Every series and film being removed from Netflix this week: May 2023

Unlike the beginning of the month, when several shows and films leave Netflix as their licensing agreement runs out, this week will see far fewer titles leave the platform.

Written and directed by Paul King, the 2014 live-action comedy Paddington, based on the popular children’s book series, is leaving on May 16th. The film features an all-star cast, including Ben Whishaw, Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, and Nicole Kidman.

The film follows the story of Paddington as he leaves his home in the jungles of “Darkest Peru” and winds up in London, where he’s taken in by the Brown family. The wittily written film brought a much-beloved children’s character to the big screen and opened to critical fanfare as well as audience appreciation.
