Every new movie coming to Netflix for the rest of 2025
Fall is the harbinger of all things fresh. It’s an early reminder of the pumpkin fest and the holiday season that awaits. But on Netflix, the arrival of fall means so much more. The streaming giant is busy getting its ducks in a row for the sweater weather this year, and by ducks, they mean the cinematic extravaganza that awaits you in a few.
Netflix is bringing something for everyone with its upcoming slate of movies. From aspiring adaptations to haunting whodunits, the streamer is decking up to give you a one-way pass to the movie wonderland where you’ll be spoiled for choice.
Netflix is leveraging the rom-com fever to kick-start the fall marathon with The Wrong Paris on September 12th. It tells the story of a woman who enters a dating show, mistaking Texas’ Paris for France’s Paris. This is followed by Tyler Perry’s re-imagining of the immortal love story of Ruth & Boaz and French Lover on September 26th.
Cillian Murphy’s Steve opens the floodgates of movie arrivals for October on the 3rd. It will be released in select theatres on September 19th. Fans of psychological thrillers should warm up for The Woman in Cabin 10, releasing on October 10th. And those who love a political spin on thrillers, get ready for She Walks in Darkness and A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE, coming up on October 17th and 24th, respectively.
Animation freaks are in for a treat this October with Phil Johnson’s re-imagining of Roald Dahl’s memorable characters, Jim and Credenza Twit, in The Twits, the first of their animated feature. Meanwhile, The Perfect Neighbour also releases on October 17th with the above two. Edward Berger’s Ballad of a Small Player hits the Netflix shelves on October 29th, following a select theatrical release on the 15th.
Guillermo del Toro’s passion project, Frankenstein, welcomes the November chart. It will be released on the 7th and has a theatrical window scheduled starting October 17th. And to help you prepare for a chaotic holiday season, A Merry Little Ex-Mas is being released on November 12th. November 14th has a double bill of movie gems, Alex Woo’s In Your Dreams and Richard Linklater’s Nouvelle Vague. Both are scheduled to be released in select theatres before the Netflix premiere.
Moreover, Netflix is totally slipping into the holiday mood in November with Champagne Problems releasing on the 19th and Jingle Bell Heist releasing on the 26th. Sandwiched between the two is Clint Bentley’s Train Dreams on November 21st, followed by the last offering of the month on the 29th, Left-Handed Girl.
The streaming giant plans to go all out this December, starting with Troll 2 on the first day. My Secret Santa and Jay Kelly follow closely on December 3rd and 5th. Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery seals the deal on December 12th. But if you think that’s how the year ends for Netflix, you’re wrong.
There are still a few movies whose release dates are yet to be decided, including EDDIE, The New Yorker at 100, and Selena y Los Dinos. So, don’t think this is over yet.
