Netflix subscribers are in for a treat in 2024 as the streaming giant unveils an exciting lineup of over 50 movies and documentaries set to hit screens throughout the year.
The much-anticipated slate reveal was made during Netflix’s Next on Netflix event, where eager fans got a glimpse of what’s to come in the world of streaming entertainment. With a diverse array of genres and stories on offer, there’s no shortage of entertainment options for viewers worldwide.
Kicking off the year in January, audiences were treated to a variety of releases, including Bitconned, the Oscar-nominated Society of the Snow, and Dan Levy’s Good Grief. These films set the stage for an interesting year ahead.
The February highlights included Orion and the Dark, Lover, Stalker, Killer, and Tyler Perry’s Mea Culpa, offering a mix of sleaze, suspense, and soothing tales of childhood courage. March has brought another wave of exciting releases, including Spaceman and the upcoming The Beautiful Game.
Looking ahead to April, audiences can anticipate the release of Woody Woodpecker Goes to Camp and Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, promising more adventure and excitement for viewers of all ages.
May brings a mix of genres, with Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story, Mother of the Bride, and Thelma the Unicorn offering something from comedy to romance to animation. June sees the release of Hit Man, a new action-comedy directed by Richard Linklater, while July brings the highly-anticipated return of Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. August rounds out the summer with The Union, starring Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry in an action-packed comedy.
Movies headlined with A-listers like A Family Affair, starring Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman in the comedy genre, and Atlas, starring Jennifer Lopez, are also arriving this summer. And the highly anticipated Scoop, on the BBC interview with Prince Andrew, will also be streaming on Netflix in 2024.
