Every movie coming to Netflix in November
November on Netflix is finally behaving like someone turning the entertainment tap back on. To be honest, Netflix had a fairly quiet October where nothing major really landed. Well, this month looks different.
Did you know that over 50 films are hitting the platform in the next few weeks? That’s more than double last month’s count, and it’s not just filler. We’re talking new originals, Oscar winners, Christmas overload, and one Guillermo del Toro project that already sounds like an instant classic. A lot of old classics are returning to the platforms, too, which feels like the cherry on top.
Starting with THE film everyone is talking about: Frankenstein. Guillermo del Toro directing Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, and Mia Goth sounds like a fever dream, and this one has turned out beautifully. You can expect that slow, sinister beauty that del Toro always brings, but bigger and sadder this time.
Then there’s Wonka, which might just become everyone’s comfort watch for the month. Timothée Chalamet is back in his whimsical era and is playing the classic Mr Wonka with top hat, cane, songs, and chocolate – you know, the whole package. Needless to say, it’s colourful and strange.
And if you’re still craving a hit of nostalgia, Netflix is bringing in the Back to the Future trilogy too, which means you officially have no excuse not to rewatch one of the most fun film series ever made. It has been nearly four decades since Marty McFly first showed up on screen, and we can all agree that those films still feel fresher than half the blockbusters coming out today.
For those in the mood for something heavier, Elvis and Judas and the Black Messiah are returning. Both were Oscar favourites for a reason. Elvis is glossy and full of energy, while Judas and the Black Messiah still feel painfully relevant. It’s smart of Netflix to bring these back now; this is the season when people start reaching for award-bait replays, and both of these films deliver.
And somewhere between all these heavy hitters, Netflix has made sure to sneak in a few comfort rewatches. Crazy Rich Asians is back and is perfectly over-the-top, as it was in 2018, a movie that made “rich-people problems” feel like an Olympic sport. And Moulin Rouge! remains the ultimate fever-dream romance. Watching it again now almost feels like revisiting a time when films didn’t apologise for being theatrical.
Of course, Netflix knows it’s officially hot-chocolate season, so the Christmas titles are already here. A Very Vintage Christmas, Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas, and Merry Liddle Christmas are ready to turn your living room into a holiday commercial. Even if you roll your eyes through the first half, you’ll still be humming carols by the end.
And because Netflix can’t resist a little brain-bending, Tenet lands on November 1st. The time-twisting Nolan film that confused half the planet is back. And if you still think November cannot get any cooler, wait till you hear the news of all three movies of The Hangover trilogy coming back on Netflix.
So yes, November looks good. You’ve got almost all genres sitting in one corner of your homepage. You don’t even need to plan your weekends because Netflix has already done it for you.
