Every movie coming to Netflix in 2026
Pause whatever you are watching right now because Netflix has opened its little Pandora’s Box of trouble and has got you movies for 2026. The platform just went full blockbuster mode for 2026.
And no, we don’t mean one big movie. Or even five. We are talking about an entire year of cinematic drama, action, love stories, biopics, animation, and comedies that already smell like they deserve a spot in your watchlist. But again, this isn’t just a watchlist. It’s a calendar. And if you have any weekend plans, it’s time to cancel them.
Let’s start with winter. Because right out of the gate in January, things are getting emotional. People We Meet on Vacation (January 9th) is serving that aching best-friends-to-lovers energy where you scream at the screen because it’s been obvious for 10 years. And if you are craving something more adrenaline-fuelled, The Rip drops a week later (January 16th) with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck as Miami cops who discover a pile of cash and a whole load of betrayal.
Throw in Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart (January 21st), a serious documentary, and Cosmic Princess Kaguya! (January 22nd), which is giving virtual idols, moon girls, and tear-jerker vibes, and that’s just January.
February’s no slouch either. There is Queen of Chess (Feb 6th), a Judit Polgár biopic that will make you rewatch The Queen’s Gambit out of respect. Tyler Perry is back on the road in Joe’s College Road Trip (Feb 13th), dragging a teen through life lessons and family drama. Honestly, Netflix winter is feeling less like a warm binge season and more like emotional warfare.
Now. Spring. You want drama? War Machine lands on March 6th, and immediately after that, we have the long-anticipated Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man dropping on March 20th, and we are all losing our minds because Tommy Shelby is back from exile and facing literal wartime demons. Yes, Tommy Shelby. On your screen. In 1940.
April brings A Gorilla Story, told by none other than David Attenborough, and APEX, where Charlize Theron fights for survival in the Australian wilds. May? Be ready to cry your soul out to Remarkably Bright Creatures (May 8th) and fall into a feminist satire with Ladies First. Sometimes I wonder how Netflix can afford to keep pulling off all these high-concept originals.
Then summer kicks in. And it’s feral. 72 Hours throws Kevin Hart into a bachelor-party disaster. Enola Holmes 3 chases her to Malta with dreams and danger colliding. And The Whisper Man shows up to make sure you don’t sleep at night. Robert De Niro is hunting serial killers while your popcorn is burning.
And finally fall. The drama gets historical with Quasimodo, a retelling set in Paris during a revolution. And then… deep breath… Narnia returns in December under Greta Gerwig’s direction. Yes, THE Greta Gerwig. The one who just gave us Barbie and Little Women. If you are not already tearing up at the idea of stepping through that wardrobe one last time, you might be made of stone.
Oh, and if you thought that was it? Scroll down and you will hit the Coming Soon section: Heartstopper Forever, Office Romance with Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein, GOOD SEX starring Natalie Portman and Mark Ruffalo, and UNABOM, which might be the most unsettling title of the year.
You also have animated comedy (Swapped), messy college drama (Roommates), Bollywood dance-offs (Best of the Best), and even a musical theatre teen meltdown (Don’t Say Good Luck). You name the vibe, and Netflix has got it.
You don’t need a watchlist. You need a whiteboard and a stack of sticky notes.
So clear your schedule. Charge your devices. And start preparing for every single mood swing 2026 has to offer. Netflix is about to turn into your private theatre.
