Netflix could have left The Outrun and Four Weddings and a Funeral where they were and nobody would have kicked up a fuss, but no, both are off this week, and a few TV favourites are getting their marching orders as well, so you may want to have a rummage through the catalogue before they disappear.

Back with the departures list, we have Kraven the Hunter getting booted first on September 14th, and nobody is about to start calling it the great lost superhero film of our time. Aaron Taylor-Johnson does commit to the whole feral-hunter business, though, so if you’ve had it sitting on your list out of morbid curiosity, this is your chance to get the thing over with.

September 15th takes Four Weddings and a Funeral, and this one has earned its stripes. It is proper ’90s British rom-com stuff, and there are bags of charm in it.

Then Funny People gets the chop on September 16th, where Adam Sandler plays a famous comic facing a serious illness as Seth Rogen gets pulled into his life. You can imagine what happens afterwards, especially when these two are together.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 goes the same day. Is it up there with the first one? Not quite. But the Portokalos lot can turn one family wobble into a complicated fuss, and that was always half the fun anyway.

September 18th takes The Outrun, and this is the one worth bumping up your list. Saoirse Ronan plays a woman who heads back to Orkney while trying to rebuild her life after addiction, and good grief, she is excellent. The film doesn’t make the damage easier to swallow, which gives Ronan plenty to get her teeth into.

The series side takes a hit on September 15th as well. Heels loses both seasons, which feels a touch rotten because the wrestling was only part of the story; the real bruising came from the brothers. Nashville loses all six seasons too, so starting the whole thing now would be quite the undertaking.

Spartacus goes on the same day with all four seasons, and subtlety was never on the menu there. Lopez vs Lopez follows on September 18th with both seasons. So yes, give the new releases a wait and stream a few from this one.
