Every movie and series leaving Netflix this week: September 2025
With Netflix and its rotating library of titles, one moment you are happily rewatching a sitcom or adding a film to your “later” list, and the next, it’s gone without warning, and some of those sent out the door sting a little more than others.
Seems like this is one of those weeks, as September is about to steal a handful of titles you might not have gotten around to yet, and a couple of big ones you will wish had stayed a little longer.
The loudest goodbye of the week is the tight four-season comedy The Good Place, which wrapped up at the height of Covid-19 with one of the most thoughtful finales of the decade. Whether you were there from the pilot or only discovered it later, the show has held up beautifully by being supremely witty, heartfelt, and layered in a way most network sitcoms never dared to be. If you’ve been putting off a rewatch, this week is your last chance before the afterlife closes its doors on Netflix.
Anime fans are taking a hit too. My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, the 2018 film spin-off of the massively popular series, will no longer be available by midweek. For viewers who love Deku and All Might’s first big-screen adventure, now is the time to revisit it. Family viewing also loses a few options, like Cry Babies Magic Tears vanishing, and cult curiosities like 2022’s The Munsters are heading out alongside it.
And then there are the quieter exits, with Liam Neeson thriller On the Line and 2007’s The Island are both packing up early in the week, while Mending the Line will follow suit soon after. Even recent titles like The Miracle Club and Hook are on their way out, and sure they aren’t the buzziest names on the streamer’s slate, but sometimes these sleeper titles are the ones you regret missing.
That’s the bittersweet rhythm of Netflix: for every new drop dominating the Top 10, there is a podium of departures out the back, and the only way around is to stay ahead of the shuffle.
So, here’s your heads-up. These are all the movies and series leaving Netflix this week. Grab a blanket, make your picks, and get that last watch in while you can. Next week will bring new arrivals, but once these are gone, they’re gone.
