The library of Netflix is like a revolving door. If one week you get shiny new releases, the very next week you realise the door has revolved and the movies and shows have been removed. Before you know it, a favourite has quietly slipped away.

It keeps things exciting, sure, but it also means you sometimes wake up to find a show you were saving for “later” is suddenly gone. This week is no different, and the list of titles leaving in mid-September is long. This week’s departures include a mix of war dramas, comedies, music specials, and even Netflix Originals.

The two biggest names on the chopping block are Band of Brothers and The Pacific. These HBO limited series are iconic and are the kind of shows that don’t just tell war stories but define the way war dramas are made. It’s the heartfelt comedy with Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne that carries a certain warmth. Jason Bateman’s dark comedy Bad Words is also going. And if you are a fan of international picks, Subira (a Kenyan drama) and Mom Is Pregnant (a Chinese dramedy) are also set to leave.

Even music lovers need to move fast because Travelin’ Band: Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Royal Albert Hall is rolling out too.

What’s unusual this week is how many “Netflix Originals” are on the list. You have The Stronghold (a French crime thriller) and Kountry Wayne: A Woman’s Prayer both leaving, which might confuse viewers who assume Originals are permanent. The truth is, some of these are co-productions or distribution deals, which means their time on the service can still run out. It’s a reminder that not every “N” logo means forever.

There’s also The Walking Dead: Dead City, one of the spinoffs of the show that gave fans more zombie drama, all set for departure. The same goes for Krapopolis, Dan Harmon’s animated comedy, which is also wrapping up its short Netflix stay.
