Every movie and series leaving Netflix this week: October 2026
Five Hunger Games movies are leaving Netflix on October 14th, and, like, what the actual hell? Because Netflix just brought them. Only Netflix can make viewers this hungry and leave them starved while it cleans the buffet in what felt like five seconds.
Ugh, and it’s not just taking away one or two films of the franchise either, because all four Katniss films are going, and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is accompanying them like it’s some damn office trip.
The original Hunger Games sees Katniss volunteer for Prim before she becomes a contender in the Capitol’s televised death match, while Catching Fire follows her victory, becoming one huge headache for President Snow. Then we’ve got the two Mockingjay films bringing the rebellion into full swing, and guess what? The 2023 prequel about young Coriolanus Snow is getting the chop on the same day. All five, woosh, gone, no mercy.
But before Panem gets its eviction notice, Kid Cannabis and the Rita Moreno documentary Just a Girl Who Decided to Go for It are leaving on October 12th. Then October 13th is removing The End of the Tour, starring Jason Segel as David Foster Wallace and Jesse Eisenberg as journalist David Lipsky during their five days together on Wallace’s book tour.
And please don’t get us started about October 15th because Rachel Bloom’s Death, Let Me Do My Special is leaving Netflix, and, hold on a bloody minute, because that’s a Netflix Original. Yes. Yes, it is. A Netflix Original leaving Netflix. Make that make sense!
Held Hostage in My House and Taken in Plain Sight are heading out that day, alongside The Smurfs 2, because why not throw a bit of everything into the bin while we’re at it? And if you’ve been treating your Netflix watchlist like some sacred vault where films live forever, well, darling, we’ve got some rather unfortunate news for you.
Then comes October 16th, and oh, lovely, another clear-out! Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, The Squid and the Whale and Unbroken are all off.
And series fans, don’t look so happy; you are getting dragged into this mess too. October 15th is taking away Black Beauty Effect, multiple seasons of Death Note and all six seasons of West Coast Customs depart.
As if that weren’t enough, both seasons of Detroiters leave on October 16th, before Nabil El Gamil Plastic Surgeon makes its exit on October 18th.
