Every movie and series leaving Netflix this week: October 2026
Netflix can keep adding as many horror thrillers for the Halloween season, but the real jump scares always arrive in its departure arcs. While it already summoned the showbiz Grim Reaper with its first arc in October, it’s time for fans to buckle up for a second round of everything leaving Netflix this week.
Although the intensity of removals is not as deadly as the first time around, it is enough to send subscribers into a race against time.
The first to bid its farewell during the week of October 5th to October 11th is Viggo Mortensen’s touching directorial debut feature, Falling, about a middle-aged gay man who brings his dementia-stricken, homophobic father from his isolated farm in New York to Southern California to live with him and his husband.
Also leaving Netflix on Monday is the 2021 docufilm The Loneliest Whale: The Search for 52, about a group of scientists’ search for the 52-hertz whale, known to have lived its entire life in isolation, alongside Kuromukuro in the UK.
Up next on the list is Geeta Mallik’s comedy-drama India Sweets and Spices, scheduled to leave the station on October 6th, alongside a gripping JTBC K-drama, Miraculous Brothers. As these four titles are officially on the clock, Netflix subscribers need to act fast to catch up before time runs out. Otherwise, they may have to lick their wounds throughout the week.
For those who think that’s it for Tuesday, the UK removals are waiting in the wings, ready to pull the plug on Close Calls: On Camera, Meet the Adebanjos, and Sniper 3. But since that’s not all, let’s quickly move on to what’s leaving next from Netflix.
Even though the number of movies and shows leaving Netflix this week is not as overwhelming as last week, it still stings because of the quality of the titles. So, even if you’re not ready, Trey Edward Shults’ feature directorial debut, Krisha, is also counting its last days on Netflix, slated to leave on October 7th alongside Nurse Jackie and the 1995 cult classic To Die For, starring Nicole Kidman and Joaquin Phoenix. Also leaving Netflix UK is Spartacus.
Unlike the first few days, Thursday calls for a heavier cleansing with First Reformed, LOL Surprise: The Movie, Poldark, Scream, and The Spokeswoman pricking on viewers’ showbiz plan. In the UK, time is slipping fast for The Critic and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Meanwhile, Friday takes away After, Deadstream, Host, IF, Prevenge, and What Happens Later at once in the US, with Beat the Lotto and In the Long Run joining the UK removals.
Netflix has kept Saturday free of removals. However, a big blow awaits Sunday with A Quiet Place Part II, The Rugrats Movie, and Monster High 2 ready with packed bags. So, catch up on your personal favourites because, clearly, time is not on your side!
