Every movie and series leaving Netflix this week: May 2026
Looks like Netflix is finally bringing us more content than showing a green flag to the departures, because so much new content is coming. However, due to that, we can’t ignore the May 2026 departure list, which this week is tinier than the usual bloodbath. And yes, this list being shorter doesn’t change the fact that we haven’t seen worse. And even though just a few titles are leaving, a few genuinely good titles have been made to leave, while we have been flooded by new releases.
The biggest loss here is probably Your Honor, which leaves on May 31st with both seasons. And, if you still haven’t watched Bryan Cranston dancing between the stress-induced oblivion for two straight seasons, what are you playing at? He plays a respected judge whose son gets involved in a fatal hit-and-run, and from there, everything goes pear-shaped at frightening speed. One bad decision leads to another, then another, then suddenly everyone’s lying and panicking. It’s ridiculously addictive.
Also leaving on May 31st is Dirty John, which feels like a personal attack for the true crime lovers of Netflix. The first season with Connie Britton and Eric Bana is still the stronger of the two. It follows this terrifyingly believable relationship scam that turns into an absolute nightmare. Give it a try before it leaves next Sunday.
Film-wise, Pig, leaving on May 26th, is genuinely annoying because people still misunderstand this film. Pig follows Robin Feld, a former celebrity chef who now lives alone in the Oregon wilderness with his truffle-hunting pig. When the pig is stolen, Robin returns to Portland to track her down, and that forces him to reconnect with the high-end restaurant world and the people he left behind years ago.
Then there’s Synchronic leaving on May 25th. Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan play paramedics who start noticing that several strange deaths are connected to a new designer drug called Synchronic. At first, it just seems like another dangerous street drug, but things get seriously weird when they realise it can alter time itself. Then, when one of their teenage daughters suddenly disappears after taking it, the search to find her turns into an emotional race against time. Literally.
And honestly, seeing The Paperboy on the exit list feels bizarre because that film is absolute fever-dream cinema. Sweaty Florida energy with wild performances from Nicole Kidman. Her character is a reporter who returns to his small Florida hometown with his writing partner to investigate the case of a death row inmate who claims he was wrongly convicted. As they further investigate the murder case, the more uncomfortable and unpredictable things become, especially once a woman romantically involved with the inmate enters the picture. And that’s all for this week.
