Every movie and series leaving Netflix this week: March 2026

For once, Netflix viewers don’t have to worry about a massive number of removals, not this week at least. The list of titles leaving the platform this week is relatively short, which is a bit unusual for Netflix, but hey, it is good news for us. Instead of dozens of movies and series leaving at once, only a small group is on its way out.

Believe it or not, a few recognisable movies are still on the way out. One of the biggest titles leaving is House of Gucci (2021). This Ridley Scott directorial tells the real story behind the famous Gucci fashion family and the murder of Maurizio Gucci. Lady Gaga plays Patrizia Reggiani, the woman who married into the family and later became involved in the crime. We also have Adam Driver playing Maurizio, while Al Pacino and Jared Leto also appear in the film. If the history alone does not intrigue you, you can watch this film alone for Gaga’s fabulous performance.

Another film leaving soon is The Talented Mr Ripley (1999). So, here’s the deal with this one: Matt Damon plays Tom Ripley, a young man sent to Italy to convince a wealthy family’s son to return home. That simple plan doesn’t stay simple for long. Ripley slowly becomes a part of some elaborate lies and identity games that take the story in darker directions. Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow also appear in the film, and the Italian setting gives the whole thing a stylish look that still works years later. One of the best thrillers people still recommend.

Then there is the GOAT of all time, Moulin Rouge! (2001). There is barely anybody who hasn’t watched this masterpiece, and if movie musicals are your thing, this one is hard to ignore. Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor lead the story about a writer who falls for a performer at the famous Paris nightclub. Director Baz Luhrmann made sure that the movie is packed with bright visuals and pop songs in the musical numbers. When it first came out, people talked about its style for a long time and still do.

A more recent movie leaving Netflix is Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret (2023). Funny enough, the film found a new audience after landing on streaming. If realistic cinema with a heartfelt story is your thing, then run to watch this one. It is based on Judy Blume’s classic novel and follows the story of a young girl figuring out growing up while dealing with the change of moving to a new place. An initial struggle of making friends is always there, but at the same time, she also deals with questions about faith. To be fair, adaptations of hit books can be tricky, but this one managed to win over both critics and viewers.

A couple of older favourites are also heading out, like The Sandlot (1993) and Timecop (1994), but one of the more painful departures is coming from TV. This week, we are also losing Arrested Development, a classic comedy that follows the dysfunctional Bluth family and their constant money problems. The show originally aired in the early 2000s before Netflix revived it years later with additional seasons.

Another series leaving is Servant of the People. The political comedy stars Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a schoolteacher who unexpectedly becomes president of Ukraine. The thing is, the show gained worldwide attention after Zelenskyy later became the country’s real-life president.
