Every movie and series leaving Netflix this week: December 2025
Congratulations, people! We have all somehow survived 2025 and are already at the edge of the year. One last week, one last roundup and one final list of titles leaving Netflix before the clock resets and we pretend our new resolutions will actually stick (good luck on that!).
And before we get to the leavers, let’s just take a second to admit the fact that December on Netflix was basically owned by Stranger Things. Between the volume two drama and the theories, it has been hard to focus on anything else. But while everyone has been busy with the Upside Down, a few good titles have made their exit plans. Let’s get you caught up.
On December 29th, three classics are making a run for it. 10 Things I Hate About You, the angsty high school adaptation that gave us Heath Ledger and the iconic hallway poem. How dare Netflix remove this classic masterpiece, especially amidst all the Upside Down drama? But if you are reading this, take it as a sign and stream this classic one last time asap.
Next is Sweet Home Alabama, which has never been about the plot, and we just love watching Reese Witherspoon slap sense into her ex in a thunderstorm. And then there is Idiocracy, which will always be relevant, no matter what. Slightly-too-real satire that always feels like it was written by someone who time-travelled.
On December 30th, Ready Player One is logging out, and if you are in the mood for pop culture Easter eggs, you should give it one last watch.
And on December 31st, just as you are trying to survive the noise of NYE and Stranger Things, Evil is disappearing. If you like your horror mixed with religious conspiracies, demonic possession, and tech paranoia, this one is weirdly the perfect watch.
So yeah, we are ending 2025 with a pretty solid batch of exits. Thankfully, a short list.
