Every movie and series leaving Netflix this week: August 2026

Netflix had a right old clear-out on August 1st, and a fair few cracking films were booted off the platform in one fell swoop. We bet you that it made plenty of watchlists, looking a bit sorry for themselves. This week, though, things are much more relaxed. Only ten titles are disappearing between August 3rd and 9th, so you needn’t cancel all your plans to finish them up.

The first one out of the door is Freelance on August 3rd. The 2023 action-comedy stars John Cena as a former special-forces operative protecting a journalist during a political coup. Is it high art? Not really. Is it the sort of noisy film you bung on with a takeaway after a long day? Absolutely!

The sad headline, however, comes on August 6th, when Sam Raimi’s entire Spider-Man trilogy leaves Netflix. Yep, all three of them. Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3 are still brilliant little time capsules of noughties superhero cinema, so those ought to sting a lot.

With the new Spider-Man film bringing Peter Parker back into the conversation, now is a cracking time to revisit the Raimi trilogy and see how it all stacks up. So, chop-chop, you haven’t got long.

Also leaving on August 6th are romantic drama Four Letters of Love, presidential biopic LBJ and documentary series Titans: The Rise of Hollywood. Not exactly a national emergency, granted, but worth a mention.

Then there is Labyrinth, bowing out on August 8th. David Bowie, goblins, puppets… What more could you possibly want? It is weird but wonderful and still one of the week’s biggest must-watches.

Finally, both Bon Cop, Bad Cop films depart on August 9th. All in all, not a disastrous week. But do get Spider-Man 2 and Labyrinth watched first, and you will be sorted. Easy peasy.
