Every movie and series leaving Netflix next week: June 2026

Ahh, here we go again! It’s that time of the month for Netflix again, because the platform is once again on its spree of removing perfectly watchable movies and series while we’re still trying to catch up with everything that arrived last week. And why the first week of every month hurts more than usual is because this is when the most movies and shows say goodbye.

Now, June’s departure list isn’t the biggest massacre we have seen this year, but don’t let that fool you. A few fan-favourite titles are exiting stage left, but we are here to alert you to those that deserve a spot on your watchlist.

As usual, the biggest damage arrives on June 1st, which is basically Netflix’s designated day for heartbreaks. Let’s start with Casino because if you have never gotten around to watching Martin Scorsese’s three-hour descent into greed and ego, now would be an excellent time to fix that. Robert De Niro plays a gambling expert sent to run a Las Vegas casino for the mob, while Joe Pesci spends the entire film proving that he might be one of the most terrifying human beings to ever exist. But hey, don’t miss Sharon Stone’s career-best performance.

The same day is also taking Mrs Doubtfire, and this one is going to hurt big time. Robin Williams has done many iconic roles throughout his career, but playing a disguised elderly nanny so he can spend more time with his children will forever be iconic. It’s a ridiculous premise that absolutely shouldn’t work, and yet only Williams was capable enough to turn it into one of the most beloved family comedies of the 1990s. But do not forget that at the end of the day, it is also an emotional story about divorce and parenthood.

Okay, here is another one for family movie fans, because the entire Night at the Museum trilogy is leaving as well. The original film remains the strongest of the film series, and it’s almost the same premise every time. A night security guard who finds out that every exhibit inside the museum comes alive after dark. Watching historical figures argue with each other never gets old, and of course, there is an amazing cast.

Then we have the entire Fifty Shades trilogy saying bye on the same day. Love them, hate them, mock them with your friends… it doesn’t really matter. These films dominated pop culture conversations throughout the 2010s and became a cultural phenomenon. And, and, and, they are the perfect films to binge for a ‘Netflix and Chill’ night in.

June 2nd belongs almost entirely to Kim’s Convenience. Losing all five seasons of that show feels cruel. The Canadian sitcom is the story of the Kim family as they run a convenience store in Toronto, and there is no way you don’t see an Appa reel on your feed every day. The series also introduced many viewers to Simu Liu long before Marvel came calling. This will be a sad day.

The brutal removals continue on June 3rd with Honest Thief, which stars Liam Neeson in a dangerous thriller. Nobody watches a Liam Neeson thriller expecting subtle characters, so there you go.

By June 7th, Netflix kicks you in the gut with Babylon and Blindspot. Blindspot leaves with all five seasons, taking one of Netflix’s most bingeable mystery series along with it. A woman wakes up in Times Square covered in tattoos with no memory of who she is, and every tattoo points toward another crime. That’s the entire hook. Do give it a go.

And that’s all. Yes, Netflix is bringing plenty of new content throughout June, and we are happy about that, but good content leaving the platform is always sad. So binge while you still can.
