Every movie and series leaving Netflix next week: April 2026

Attention people, Netflix has decided to extend the spring cleaning till the third week of April, with some beloved titles leaving the platform. Although the platform has spared a couple of days from this week, the rest of the days are filled with major departures.

April 15 is basically romance takeover day. If you are even slightly into comfort-watch love stories, this is your chance. An Unexpected Valentine, Hats Off to Love, and Love in the Clouds, all of which follow that classic formula where people meet and then mess things up, but feelings eventually win. You already know how it goes, but that’s kind of the point of these films. Easy watch, no stress on the brain.

The Royal We is all about a normal person meeting royalty, and low-key, these stories always pull tiny bits from real-life royal drama. If you have ever followed British royal news even a little, you might catch a few familiar vibes in there.

But not everything on that day is light romance. One Day We’ll Talk About Today is another departure that might sting a few fans. This film goes more into family pressure and figuring life out, especially as a young adult. It’s more reflective and hits closer to real-life stuff. Maestra is yet another serious watch focusing on ambition in the music world and what it takes to stay at the top.

Then there’s Friendship Playlist, which is super new and already leaving, which feels completely unfair, but there’s nothing you can do except catch it one more time. What makes it interesting is how it uses music not just as background, but as part of the storytelling itself. The songs actually move the emotions forward, which can be really effective when done right.

April 16 is where things level up. Licorice Pizza is easily one of the biggest exits here. It’s set in the 1970s and follows this complicated relationship between two people, figuring things out. The cool part? The lead actors, Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman, weren’t big names before this, which makes everything feel even more natural. Also, the title is slang for vinyl records, which is such a random but fun detail.

Then you’ve got The Snowman, which is kind of famous for a weird reason. It’s the fact that parts of the movie were never filmed. Not even joking. So when people say it feels incomplete, that’s literally why. It’s still interesting to watch just to see how that plays out.

Last Christmas might look like a basic holiday rom-com at first, but it has a twist that changes how you see the whole story. Emilia Clarke has done a phenomenal job, and though the film isn’t very critic-certified, it’s a good comfort watch.

On the same day, the Mustang is leaving, which is a completely different vibe. It’s based on a real prison programme where inmates train wild horses. It’s so powerful to watch this connection in the film, especially knowing it’s inspired by real events.

After that, the schedule spreads out a bit, but a few titles still stand out. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, leaving on April 17, is a big one. On April 18, Join or Die is leaving, focusing on community and civic engagement.

On the series side, Black Sails leaving is a huge deal. It connects to Treasure Island but mixes in real historical pirates, which makes it way more interesting than a standard pirate show. Characters like Charles Vane were actually based on real people.

Van Helsing is also exiting completely, all five seasons at once. It reimagines the whole vampire concept in a darker, more survival-focused setting, so it’s a solid pick if you’re into long binge sessions. And then The Fairly OddParents is pure nostalgia. If you grew up watching Timmy and his fairy godparents, this is your chance to revisit it one last time.

So yeah, if you’ve been putting things off, now might be the time to finally press play before these disappear.
