Every movie and series leaving Netflix next week: April 2026

Wait… Ford v Ferrari is leaving? And Crazy, Stupid, Love, too? What kind of nightmare is Netflix giving us? Sadly, it’s not a nightmare; it’s the ugly truth. The first week of April is coming with gut-wrenching removals, and Netflix is taking so many comfort watches from us.

But before April begins, we have a sad removal next Monday, which is March 31st, and it is the 2008 war thriller The Hurt Locker. You know what, that’s not a small title to lose. This is a full-on Oscar-winning Best Picture, directed by Kathryn Bigelow, and even today, people still bring it up when talking about modern war films, so yes, missing that now would feel like a big loss later.

Then April 1st comes in, and before you know it, everything starts happening at once. Ford v Ferrari is leaving, and do you know what’s interesting? Even people who don’t care about racing got pulled into that film, mostly because of Christian Bale and Matt Damon. Also, yet another Academy Awards winner is leaving Netflix.

And then Crazy, Stupid, Love… come on, you have seen clips of it everywhere, right? Or who are we kidding? We have all watched this film a million times. That cast, along with Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Emma Stone, basically guarantees people keep going back to it, and even now, it keeps showing up, which says a lot about how long it has stayed relevant.

The next departure gets serious for action fans. Man on Fire is leaving. What do you mean? Netflix just announced a reboot of the film, and now it’s taking away the original. Very uncool. And you cannot ignore the original because Denzel Washington in that role is something people still talk about, and it’ll be sad to lose another one of his masterpieces from Netflix.

Another one of Matt Damon’s classics is leaving Netflix, and it’s the 2013 dystopian sci-fi Elysium. The film had mixed reactions when it was first released, but later received immense love from the fans. And then you realise Zero Dark Thirty is also going, and that’s another Kathryn Bigelow project just… gone.

The animation section of Netflix has not been safe either. Despicable Me, Despicable Me 2, Rio, and Rio 2 all leaving together is actually bigger than it sounds. And it doesn’t stop there. Pitch Perfect and its sequel are on the list too, and these were the staple comfort watches of many homes. They will be terribly missed.

Then Pineapple Express leaving is one of those things people won’t notice immediately, but give it a little time, and then it will hit everyone because that film became a go-to comedy over the years. And yes, Friends with Benefits is also on its way out, so it’s time to say a final goodbye to this Mila Kunis-Justin Timberlake classic.

Now coming to the shows, the most noticeable departure is Magical Andes, and its leaving is quite interesting, mainly because it’s a Netflix original, and those don’t disappear that often, so when they do, it definitely gets attention.

So yeah, this week, ignirace can’t be a good thing to do because a lot of these titles have been part of what people watch again and again, and once they are gone, they are not always easy to find again. If anything here has been on your mind for a while, now would be a good time to finally watch it.
