Every movie and series leaving Netflix next month: July 2025

Netflix is about to break a few hearts this July. While it is bringing in new shows and summer blockbusters, it is also quietly snatching away some of the most rewatchable comfort titles. If you are someone who likes to queue up Crazy, Stupid, Love on a random Wednesday or play the Ocean’s trilogy while folding laundry, you might want to start bingeing now. Because by next month, a big chunk of your emotional support streaming content will be gone.

And Netflix is not pulling punches. On July 1st alone, we are losing 13 Going on 30, Do the Right Thing, Couples Retreat, Resident Evil: Retribution, and Hotel Transylvania. Yes, all on the same day. It is like a content purge no one saw coming. Throw in the Twilight saga, Annabelle, and The Equalizer 3, and suddenly your weekend watchlist is starting to look pretty empty.

There is also something strangely sad about watching Rise of the Guardians, The SpongeBob Movie, and The Croods exit stage left. These were the “I’ll just play something in the background” movies, the ones that made weeknights feel lighter and hangovers slightly more manageable. Now they are out, and Netflix isn’t even offering a tissue.

What truly stings is the fleeting return of Twilight. The spiky vampire romance came back to Netflix in early May, only to be tagged “leaving soon” again by June 30. That has barely two months on the platform before disappearing again, and fans are livid. If you wanted one last round of teenage angst or sparkly vampire drama, now’s the moment.

The action genre is also taking a hit. Sicario 2: Soldado, Colombiana, Draft Day, and all three Ocean’s films are heading out. That means fewer smart heist movies, fewer sunglasses-at-night vibes, and definitely fewer George Clooney smirks. We are not okay.

On the horror and thriller end, Annabelle, The Nun, and I Know What You Did Last Summer are packing their bags. And while nobody asked for a horror cleanse mid-summer, Netflix is doing it anyway. Even Constantine is disappearing, which hurts, because it is the one Keanu film that has aged better than most people give it credit for.

Then there are the stealth exits. Titles like Going Clear, The Hater, and Seriously Single are quietly vanishing with barely a whisper. And to make it sting even more, Netflix is removing some of its own Originals. Call My Agent!, Harvey Girls Forever!, MILF, Plastic Cup Boyz, and Mark Normand: Soup to Nuts are all leaving, proving once again that being a “Netflix Original” is no longer a guarantee of permanence.

Series fans, this hurts too. Overlord, Sailor Moon Crystal, and The Wonder Years are on the chopping block. So if you were midway through a nostalgic rewatch or just getting into an anime binge, you might want to put your plans on fast-forward.

It is not just about what is leaving, it is about how many of them are going. July’s removals are sweeping, unexpected, and emotionally confusing. It is not a minor reshuffle. It is a full-blown breakup. So watch what you love while you still can. Because next month, it might be gone for good.
