Every movie and series coming to Netflix this week: September 2025

The streaming arc of Netflix was unusually breezy in the last week of August. But it’s the first that you really need to keep an eye out for. With the clock halting in September, Netflix has opened its arms to welcome more streaming delights than you probably set the table out for. As for those wondering what’s on the feast, here’s every movie and series coming to Netflix this week.

Netflix intends to go all out on the movie front. With plenty of titles ready to depart, the streamer has conjured an arrival arc just as compelling, so that you don’t go home starving for more. On September 1st, coming to Netflix is a bounty of streaming delights, each one better than the last, starting with 8 Mile, Abducted on Prom Night, Billy Madison, Boyz n the Hood, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Bridesmaids, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Chicken Run.

The workweek run continues with Dennis the Menace, Devil on Campus: The Larry Ray Story, ET the Extra-Terrestrial, Edge of Tomorrow, Escape Room, Good Advice, Hot Shots!, Hot Shots! Part Deux, and Inglourious Basterds. But if you think that’s it for the first day of September, make room for some more.

Spike Lee’s heist thriller, Inside Man, Inside Man: Most Wanted, the Judd Apatow comedy, Knocked Up, the record-breaking La La Land, Steven Spielberg’s The Land Before Time, the Jim Carrey comedy, Liar Liar, and Limitless starring Robert De Niro are landing on Netflix the same day.

Also coming to Netflix on Monday are Long Shot, Money Talks, Paddington, Phantom Thread, Puss in Boots, Shark Tale, Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek Forever and After, Shrek the Third, Stand by Me, The 4 Rascals, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Boy Next Door, The Four Seasons, The Rookie, The Running Man, We’re the Millers, White Noise, and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.

In the UK, the first day of the month marks the arrival of Amsterdam, Thanksgiving, and Under the Boardwalk. Documentarily, fans should prepare for Microwaves vs. Air Fryers: Which is Better and Race Across the World. As for the series side of things, Beyblade X (season one), Gogglebox (season 19), and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (season 17) are already here. SWAT lands on Netflix UK on September 2nd.

While that’s it for movies, we have the eighth season of 60 Days In, four seasons of Franklin & Bash, the first of Karen Kingsbury’s A Thousand Tomorrows, the second collection of Ms Rachel, and five seasons of Orphan Black touching down on Netflix on September 1st. If you have it in yourself to make it through this entertainment rollercoaster, the highly anticipated part two of Wednesday’s second season is coming up next on Netflix, on September 3rd.

By the time you’re done with the woeful instalment, get ready for Countdown: Canelo v Crawford and Pokémon Concierge the next day. Also coming to Netflix on September 4th are Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital, The Blackening, and Tomb Watcher. Meanwhile, September 5th is going to be all about Inspector Zende, Love Con Revenge, Queen Mantis (season one), and The Great British Baking Show (collection 13). Fans can also stream Hard Truths and The Royal Hotel in the UK the same day.

Once you skip towards the weekend, you’ll have Leap!/Ballerina, Redeeming Love, and finally the first season of The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity for the ultimate dessert party on September 7th.
