With Netflix, weekends are anything but boring. But even when the fresh week kicks in, it gives just as many reasons to keep an eye out for. As the spooky spirits reign over the platform’s homepage and the cravings for something new reach a fever pitch, the streamer again opens the floodgates of movies and series coming to Netflix this week.

October had the thrills at an all-time high from the very first week. But this time around, the streaming giant is starting slow to pick up the pace day by day. To kick off this arrival arc, Netflix has a laughter riot that will leave you rolling out loud throughout, the Ed Helms-Christina Applegate-led road-trip comedy, Vacation.

By the time you recover, you’d better be prepared for October 14th for a double dose of Netflix original productions: Everybody Loves Me When I’m Dead and Splinter Cell: Deathwatch.

But it is halfway through the week that Netflix really plans to let loose, especially on the movie front. Coming to Netflix on October 15th is a vast catalogue of mystery thrillers and crime dramas, starting with Held Hostage in My House to Inside Furioza, as well as Taken in Plain Sight. Also dropping on the platform that day is a fresh new limited series inspired by a true story, No One Saw Us Leave, and a live stream of the tennis showcase, Six Kings Slam 2025.

In terms of entertainment that leaves you seated, things get all the more interesting from October 16th onwards with Bad Shabbos, Confessions of a Shopaholic, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Time That Remains, and The A-Team, coming to Netflix for the perfect fix for cinephiles.

But in case you thought that’s all, buckle up for the series and docu-series chart coming your way from Romantics Anonymous and Starting 5 to the highly anticipated third season of The Diplomat. Moreover, the streamer also plans to bring a new animated hour-long special, Thomas & Friends: Sodor Sings Together, this Thursday, too.

As is tradition with Netflix, Fridays call for the ultimate watch party. So, to ensure the subscribers don’t run out of options, the streaming mogul is keeping the movie slate brimming to the brink with 27 Nights, Good News, She Walks in Darkness, The Perfect Neighbour, The Twits, Turn of the Tide: The Surreal Story of Rabo de Peixe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.

Also, coming to Netflix on October 17th is the second season of Turn of the Tide. Lastly, the title that’s wrapping up this week’s arrival arc is yet another thriller starring Michael Douglas, Don’t Say a Word, and with that, it’s official that the chills should stop for none.
