Every movie and series coming to Netflix this week: November 2025
The arrival arc cracks open routinely every Monday, but this week, the platform is writing history with what’s coming to Netflix.
After waiting with bated breath for years, and especially this month, Netflix will finally free the Upside Down spirits into our world this week. However, before that happens, the streamer will kick things off right from the start. Don’t expect this week to be content-heavy because Netflix is clearly saving the momentum. Then again, don’t mistake it for empty hands, because Netflix is anything but short on entertainment.
Firstly, on November 24th, Netflix is dropping the second season of Missing: Dead or Alive, which follows the South Carolina sheriff’s department’s extensive investigations into multiple missing cases. While the true-crime docu-series returns with a whole lot of thrills, Netflix plans to soften things up with a holiday rom-com just in time for December, with Santa Bootcamp also landing on Monday.
Also coming to Netflix the same day is a holiday special edition of the classic tale, Sesame Street: The Nutcracker Starring Elmo & Tango, alongside a throwback sci-fi film led by the dynamic Hollywood duo, Scarlett Johansson and Ewan McGregor, The Island.
Exactly a month ahead of Christmas, Netflix plans to enhance your baking skills on November 25th with the second season, a festive edition, of Is It Cake? Holidays. Following its Halloween drop, this marks the return of the Netflix competition series.
Moving on to the day we’ve all been waiting for, November 26th, Netflix will release the highly anticipated first volume of the fifth and final season of the Duffer brothers’ hit sci-fi series, Stranger Things. Also coming on Netflix this Wednesday is a Christmas heist film starring Olivia Holt and Connor Swindells, Jingle Bell Heist.
By the time you recover from the Upside Down hijinks, you will probably be exhausted to the point of no return. As a result, Netflix has kept things rather breezy with only Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom crash-landing the day after the return of the Hawkins gang on November 27th.
But since it’s Thanksgiving week, Netflix isn’t letting you down with just that. Joining the new and returning releases on Friday is a Taiwanese film, buzzing for awards, Left-Handed Girl, followed by a Netflix documentary, deemed quite controversial, The Stringer: The Man Who Took the Photo.
Lastly, wrapping up November on Netflix US is I Smile Back, an indie drama film starring Sarah Silverman, which lands on Netflix on November 29th. Meanwhile, rounding out the arc for the UK viewers is Survivor Series: WarGames.
