Every movie and series coming to Netflix this week: May 2026
It is once again that time of the week to leave viewers overwhelmed with all that’s coming to Netflix. So, if you’re curious about where to start, well, we sincerely recommend turning back time.
The streaming giant plans to kick-start the week with a trip down historical lanes, thanks to all the high-profile History Channel documentaries coming to Netflix on May 18th, including Abraham Lincoln, FDR, Grant, The Great War, Theodore Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, and Washington. Also joining the Monday arc are Law and Order, Navy SEALs: America’s Secret Warriors, and Nope, along with In Her Shoes in the UK.
On May 19th, Netflix has lined up the second entry of its Untold UK series, titled Liverpool’s Miracle of Istanbul, alongside the cult classic, True Romance, written by Quentin Tarantino, and a brand-new stand-up special, Wanda Skyes: Legacy. Meanwhile, the only title coming to Netflix on May 20th is an Argentinian drama series, Carizzma.
Up next on Netflix’s queue for the week is a Colombian football documentary, James, for all the sports fanatics out there. But if you think that’s all the streaming powerhouse has scheduled for Thursday, you’re fortunately mistaken.
The highly anticipated Japanese variety series, Monday Late Show, begins streaming on May 21st with new episodes weekly, alongside the fresh mystery drama from the creators of Stranger Things, The Boroughs. In the UK, the day also calls for MaXXXine and Thelma.
Netflix subscribers can also catch up on the Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix from May 22nd to May 24th on the service, including practice, qualifying for the spring race, the main race, the actual spring race and the Grand Prix. If you were unaware all this time, we suggest saving dates while the news is still fresh.
Moving on to May 22nd, Netflix has the urban fantasy film, Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, Thea Sharrock’s forthcoming comedy, Ladies First, starring Sacha Baron Cohen and Rosamund Pike, and the new adult animated comedy from the team behind Big Mouth, Mating Season, in the queue. That said, St Trinian’s and St Trinian’s 2 & The Legend of Fritton’s Gold are also ready to touch down in the UK.
While we know that the audience’s sights are actually set on what’s coming to Netflix this weekend, it turns out that the streamer has cut spectators a big slack this Saturday, which means, after Friday, you can leap straight into Sunday. However, the UK fans need to watch out for the explosive rom-com It Ends With Us, landing that day. As for what’s awaiting May 24th?
For starters, Tom Segura is set to return with the second season of his hit comedy series, Bad Thoughts, followed by Ferrari for the main course. And for the sweet tooth? Well, thank Netflix for Robocar Poli season six.
