Every movie and series coming to Netflix this week: July 2025

Rome was not built overnight. Nor was the dread of Mondays. But no matter how groggy and slow these mornings feel, Mondays on Netflix always cue the beginning of something new. Last week was a heavy hitter on the series side of things. And this week, Netflix plans to remain intact with that impact. So, in case you’re curious about what awaits in the bounty of every movie and series coming to Netflix this week, make sure you have a sci-fi appetite for The Lazarus Project.

Netflix just dropped both seasons on July 28th, so that you don’t have to go streamer-hopping for a continuation. While Netflix has some room to recharge this Monday, Tuesday is going to be another trip down the rabbit hole of the ridiculously true with Trainwreck: Storm Area 51. And if that feels a bit too bizarre, lighten up with Dusty Slay’s newest comedy special, Wet Heat.

But if that’s not it, Netflix has a backstage pass for WWE fanatics to beat the heat midweek. So, if you’re looking for screen time with spectacle, WWE: Unreal should be your next streaming stop. Tuesday is more or less a mixed bag in terms of Netflix’s arrival arc. But on Wednesday, Netflix & Chill is about to get a new spine-chilling definition, thanks to Conversations with a Killer: The Son of Sam Tapes and Unspeakable Sins.

As Wednesday lights up in a gory glow-up in the weeks leading up to Jenna Ortega’s woeful comeback, Thursday isn’t going down without a fight. Coming to Netflix on July 31st are Netflix’s new-age moms, one an ex-cop, another a recently separated one after 33 years of marriage, with Marked and Leanne. And if you presumed Netflix moms were chaotic and morally questionable, watch them fight for life like never before.

That same day, Netflix is also dropping Glass Heart, a Japanese musical drama series. But the highlight of the week is hands down the bonus episode of The Sandman season two. So, wipe those tears and strap in! The only movies to be released on Netflix this week of July are Everything About My Wife and An Honest Life. But when you’re done, there’s August to look out for. Hence, don’t just give up yet.

Speaking of August, Netflix has no plans to allow any streaming respite. On the first day of the month, coming to Netflix is the second season of Fire Country, the sixteenth season of Pawn Stars, and the third season of Perfect Match. The series-heavy week wraps up with Beyond the Bar on August 2nd. But for the movie buffs lamenting the dip in films, brace yourselves.

Franchise-wise, Netflix is dropping the first two American Pie films, followed by the first two Despicable Me movies. Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and Jurassic Park III will be released alongside Journey to the Centre of the Earth and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. The first three Rush Hour films will also be on the Netflix library from August 1st onwards.

That said, Netflix is turning back time with a ‘90s movie-log with Anaconda, Clueless, Dazed and Confused, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Groundhog Day, Weird Science, and Wyatt Earp. The time-jump to the 2000s begins with Wet Hot American Summer, Thirteen, The Departed, Megamind, After the Sunset, and Minions. And for those on the hunt for what’s new, Netflix has My Oxford Year and Scarecrow to take a look at, followed by Freelance on August 2nd.
