Every movie and series coming to Netflix this week: July 2025

When the floodgates of every movie and series coming to Netflix in July opened, it was a spell for showbiz chaos. And now, three weeks in, many titles have come and gone, but a select few are still making fans lose it, awaiting release from the pipeline. But in contrast to the previous weeks, this arrival arc is much more compact in terms of movies. While Netflix may not spoil you for choice cinematically, it leaves you room to make the most of the shows.

With fewer distractions and a packed streaming schedule, Netflix is kicking things off this week on the series front with the first season of the new adaptation drama, The Hunting Wives, on July 21st. The show comes on the heels of the company’s licensing of Lionsgate Television US shows such as Hightown and Son of a Critch. Tailing right behind are the six seasons of the 1996 sitcom classic, The Steve Harvey Show.

Coming to Netflix on Wednesday, July 23rd, is the six-episode medical docu-series, Critical: Between Life and Death. Between Life and Death follows the four hospitals that comprise the London Major Trauma System – Royal London, King’s College, St Mary’s, and St George’s. Meanwhile, Rebecca Cutter’s Hightown, with all three seasons, is also slated to arrive on Netflix that day. To ensure Wednesdays don’t get too serious, House of Lies is being released on Netflix.

Based on Martin Kihn’s 2005 book, House of Lies follows a group of management consultants who leave no stone unturned to work out business deals. And the best part is that Netflix is roping in all five seasons at once. Another show that’s hitting Netflix shelves on Wednesday is the coming-of-age story Letters From the Past, an invitation to viewers to journey through time, memory, and history.

On July 24th, Netflix will release the highly anticipated unscripted music series Hitmakers, which will see a group of successful songwriters and producers compose songs for stars like John Legend and Blackpink’s Lisa. Hitmakers is a part docu-series, part reality show concept, and a must-watch for music lovers on Netflix. My Melody & Kuromi is also scheduled to drop on Thursday, as was teased by Netflix during the announcement of its anime arrivals.

But on Thursday, every eye will be on the comic prize finale, part two of The Sandman season two, as the beloved show wraps up. As Dream gives Orpheus the boon of death, the Kindly Ones come for Dream in this volume. So, remember to tune into Netflix before the spoilers come for your life online.

Netflix is wrapping up the series-heavy week early this time on Friday itself with two South Korean shows: Trigger and The Winning Try. Yet, both cater to a distinct sense of streaming mood boards; one is an action thriller, while the other is a sports comedy series.

Another bizarre tale of the Trainwreck anthology will be released, Trainwreck: PI Moms, on July 22nd. And those in search of cinematic crumbs this week, the psychological Indonesian drama A Normal Woman, is coming to Netflix on July 24th. The week rounds out with a much-awaited cinematic fireworks, thanks to Happy Gilmore 2, starring Adam Sandler.
