Every movie and series coming to Netflix this week: December 2025
December is officially coming to a close with a bang. But before the curtain call, what’s coming to Netflix this week should definitely make it to your watchlist.
While it makes complete sense to set your sights on the prize of the week with the second volume of the Upside Down saga coming up next on Netflix, what’s also about to grab your eyes is the festive arrival arc that the streamer so meticulously curated to accompany the holiday fervour.
Netflix is starting big this Monday on the series front with Carl the Collector, I DOL I, Sicily Express, and The Closer. Also landing on Netflix is a highly anticipated documentary about Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway, titled Elway, on December 22nd.
On December 23rd, the Netflix audience will be witness to the streaming premiere of Ron Howard’s historical survival thriller starring Sydney Sweeney, Ana de Armas, and Jude Law, Eden. Additionally, on Tuesday, Netflix will debut the third season of King of Collectables: The Goldin Touch, along with multiple seasons of Say Yes to the Dress.
Moving on to Christmas Eve, we have Downton Abbey, A New Era and Goodbye June joining Netflix’s Hall of Fame. And to ensure the festive laughter doesn’t slow down, also coming to Netflix on December 24th is a stand-up comedy special, Tom Segura: Teacher.
Christmas Day looks better than ever with Christmas Game Day live on Netflix. The festive NFL schedule includes the Dallas Cowboys vs the Washington Commanders and the Detroit Lions vs the Minnesota Vikings. Also, coming to Netflix on Thursday is the next batch of episodes of Stranger Things season five, with the second volume dropping alongside The Best You Can and Wrath of Man.
On December 26th, Netflix plans to premiere the acclaimed new documentary on its platform, Cover-Up, which has been shortlisted for the Academy Awards. It chronicles the career of Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Seymour Hersh. Joining the Netflix original documentary is an AMC fantasy series, Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale, on Friday as well.
As is tradition with Netflix’s arrival arc, the platform likes to keep the weekend easy and breezy. Thus, the only title landing on Netflix on December 27th is The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, starring Jim Broadbent and Penelope Wilton.
Lastly, coming to Netflix this Sunday is a psychological thriller with a horror spin, The Girl Who Got Away. And with that, it’s a wrap for the week.
