August is finally in full swing with everything that’s coming to Netflix this week. So, if you’re already waiting with a pen and paper to note down all that’s peeking from the backstage wings, well, it’s about time to step on stage.

Netflix is getting its ducks in a row for an arrival arc that speaks for itself. And for those scratching their heads, it begins with Asphalt City, Eighth Grade, and Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, culminating August 3rd with Sing, Spoiler Alert, and a 30-minute kids special with Post Malone titled Sesame Street: Storm on the Street. In the UK, Monday calls for The Color Purple, Steven and Maggie, and Weiners.

Coming to Netflix on August 4th are the Japanese reality dating series Badly in Love and the Fox adaptation of the British hit Doc Martin: Best Medicine, alongside the 2014 romantic drama Beyond the Lights and the debut season of America’s Test Kitchen spin-off series The Cocktail Lab.

Next in line is the third season of the Polish period comedy-drama 1670, landing on Netflix on August 5th alongside an exciting new documentary, Big Chicken: A Fast Food Conspiracy, and Alone: Australia.

Also coming to Netflix this Wednesday are the Swedish documentary Inside the Trustor Scandal, the new reality dating series Let’s Marry Harry, the highly anticipated second part of One Hundred Years of Solitude, and Soul Surfer, based on an inspiring true story.

Moving on to August 6th, Netflix has Atlas Shrugged Part III: Who is John Galt? scheduled with the first season of Black Trick: The Lawyer Who Controls not far down the line. Also coming to Netflix this Thursday is In the Land of Saints and Sinners, Manila’s Finest, the second season of My Life with the Walter Boys, Stars Fell on Alabama, Tortilla Soup, the debut instalment of Unlucky Bae, and Violet.

Up next is Alley Cats, Ricky Gervais’ adult-animated comedy, scheduled to hit Netflix shelves on August 7th. Also coming to Netflix on Friday are the fourth and final season of Death Inc, Operation Safed Sagar: The Untold Story of the Kargil War, Our Sticky Love, and The Last House. As for the UK fans? Dragon Wars is additionally making its way onto Netflix!

Although Netflix tends to slow down at weekends, an interesting new anime is slated for Saturday, titled The Ribbon Hero.

And for the title rounding out this week’s arrival arc? It’s the 2024 post-apocalyptic thriller Lazareth pulling the curtains once and for all. Happy streaming!
