Every movie and series coming to Netflix this week: August 2025
Workweeks are chaotic on Netflix. On one hand, there are plenty of streaming guests checking out, ready with their bags packed. On the other hand, there are just as many checking in, hoping to fill that void.
As for the last week of August, the streamer is set for a sail with yet another pack-a-punch batch of movies and series coming to Netflix.
Netflix has kept the entertainment roster easy and breezy on the first two days of the week. Monday is reserved for the drumroll arrival of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, the 2023 live-action film that sees Optimus Prime and Autobots pairing up with Maximals. Meanwhile, this Tuesday on Netflix is all about going back to the kitchen with the second season of the beloved With Love, Meghan.
But in case you thought Netflix would keep it easy throughout the week, well, not so much. It plans to go all out this Wednesday with back-to-back documentaries: the first season of 1 in 7641, Christopher – A Beautiful Real Life, and Katrina: Come Hell and High Water.
The movies you’re about to see, starting August 27th, include Fantasy Football Ruined Our Lives and The Gabby Petito Story. Additionally, viewers must also strap in for the second season of Her Mother’s Killer.
Moving on, the second season of Barbie Mysteries will be released on Netflix on August 28th. And if you think this staycation on Netflix cannot get any better, the second season of My Life with the Walter Boys is coming up next. On the movies front, fans need to watch out for Rumah Untuk Alie and The Thursday Murder Club.
August 29th is going to be a mixed bag. The Korean romantic drama set in 1998, Love Untangled, will be released on Netflix this Friday. To balance the streaming atmosphere, a Spanish mystery thriller is coming your way the same day, Two Graves, followed by an equally enigmatic documentary, Unknown Number: The High School Catfish.
Netflix is giving love another chance with Lovesick on August 31st. However, Dinner Time Live with David Chang has yet to decide on a date.
