Every movie and series coming to Netflix this week: August 2025

Mondays are always chaotic with Netflix. On one side, there’s a sense of urgency that kicks in with time slipping on fan-favourite titles. On the other hand, viewers must grapple with what’s next on the streamer, with yet another batch of movies and series coming to Netflix this week. Having already been halfway through August, Netflix has pulled up its sleeve once again.

And this time, things are looking quite interesting on the series front. Netflix is greeting its subscribers on the first day of the week with the fifth season of the beloved preschool animated series, CoComelon Lane. Alongside the children’s hit, Netflix also drops the first two seasons of the CBS sci-fi series, starring Halle Berry, Extant.

On August 19th, Netflix plans to go all in with America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys, offering fans the story of the Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones’ influence on NFL legacy and Devo. On the same day, Netflix is releasing a brand-new limited series recounting the origins of Wall Street, Titans: The Rise of Wall Street.

Once you’re halfway through the week, Netflix intends to sprinkle some comedy pills with the third season of Fisk. And so that you have just enough to counterbalance the mid-week dessert, coming to Netflix is a Brazilian thriller series, Rivers of Fate. But in case you feel the Wednesday roster looks a bit too easy and breezy, wait for Netflix’s showbiz plans for Thursday.

Coming to Netflix on August 21st is a slew of cinematic gems from across the world, starting with a neo-Western flick starring Wyatt Russell and Dennis Quaid, Broke, followed by a German drama, Fall for Me, a Filipino music film, One Hit Wonder, an action spy thriller, The 355, and a Thai comedy-drama, Gold Rush Gang.

Netflix will additionally drop the third season of Death Inc., new episodes of the remastered Detective Conan series and the highly anticipated limited series Hostage on Thursday.

The streaming mogul intends to let loose this weekend with another limited series, this time from Korea, Aema. Simultaneously, it will release the debut season of Long Story Short, from the creator of BoJack Horseman. Abandoned Man and The Truth about Jussie Smollett also arrive on Netflix on Saturday. Lastly, the streamer plans to call it a week with Bon Appétit, Your Majesty and On Swift Horses. So, if you’re still hungover from last week, recharge with all things Netflix.
