Every movie and series coming to Netflix this week: April 2026
Now that we’re properly a week into April, consider every showbiz preview to date a trailer of sorts, as the real entertainment is actually about to begin with everything that’s coming to Netflix this week. But before that, are you ready with your popcorn buckets?
Although Mondays usually mean rollercoaster rides with Netflix, an equal parts reminder of what’s leaving the streamer as well as what’s coming, for a change of pace, the streaming giant is starting things slow this week with just an indie-comedy, India Sweets and Spices, landing on April 6th. In the UK, however, Danny GO! and Swindlers are dropping the same day.
But don’t expect Netflix to cut you slack throughout the week because that’s just not happening. In fact, by the time you wake up the next morning, an Idris Elba survival thriller, Beast, will be waiting for you with a highly anticipated documentary, Untold: Chess Mates, Dating Game, and a laugh-out-loud stand-up comedy special, Sheng Wang Purple.
Up next on April 8th, Netflix has lined up a gripping psychological drama starring Ethan Hawke and Amanda Seyfried, First Reformed, which earned Paul Schrader, the writer of Taxi Driver, an Oscar nomination for ‘Best Original Screenplay.’ Also coming to Netflix this Wednesday is a true-crime documentary, Trust Me: The False Prophet, from the creative team behind Keep Sweet: Pray & Obey.
That said, on April 9th, a Filipino rom-com, 18th Rose, is making its way to Netflix alongside the historical drama Benedetta, the heartwarming fantasy comedy IF, and the Taiwanese supernatural horror Mudborn. Also coming to Netflix that day on the series front is the French Original series, Bandi, alongside the long-awaited family crime comedy drama, Big Mistakes by Dan Levy.
Moving on to April 10th, Netflix has scheduled the fifth instalment of the Scream series, titled Scream, starring Courteney Cox, Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Jenna Ortega, and Mikey Madison, among others. But that’s not all that Netflix has planned for this Friday.
In addition to the horror release, the tenth season of Temptation Island and the third season of Turn of the Tide are also slated for release this week. Also coming to Netflix this Friday is a shark-infested survival thriller, Thrash.
Whenever the weekend arrives, Netflix tends to slow down. However, not this time around. On Saturday, coming to Netflix are A Quiet Place Part II, At Home with the Furys, ONE PIECE (Elbaf Island Arc), and Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov streaming live from London.
And with nothing else slated for Sunday, this week’s Netflix arrival arc officially comes to a close. See you next week!
