Every movie and series coming to Netflix this July
July is looking rather busy for Netflix with a number of long-awaited sequels returning that fans have been asking for. Let’s start with the obvious headline. Enola Holmes 3, which finally arrives after a four-year wait, brings Millie Bobby Brown back as the sagacious detective alongside Henry Cavill’s Sherlock Holmes.
The first two films became two of Netflix’s biggest original movie successes, turning Enola into a household name. This time, the mystery takes her to Malta with another investigation. And, if history tells us anything, another case that grows far bigger than anyone expects.
July also brings Wicked: For Good to Netflix following its hugely successful theatrical run. The sequel has been one of the year’s most anticipated releases, picking up directly after the events of the first film as Elphaba’s and Glinda’s friendship reaches its defining chapter. Staying with big names, Gone Girl is returning and giving viewers another excuse to revisit Amy Dunne’s unforgettable disappearance. We also have Spider-Man: Homecoming coming to the platform ahead of Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s theatrical release.
Next, we have The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes coming to Netflix mid-July, but before that, don’t miss Chloé Zhao’s Oscar-winning drama Nomadland. Kaiju fans are getting one of the strongest months, with Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack joining the entire Rebirth of Mothra trilogy. Heartstopper Forever is expected to attract plenty of attention as Nick and Charlie’s story reaches its conclusion.
Over on the series side, Ransom Canyon returns for a second season after rocking it earlier this year, while Quarterback once again follows NFL stars through the pressures of an entire season. New titles also include fantasy drama The East Palace, limited series The Map of Longing and crime drama Wrath.
